Armani Code Sport: I confess I’m not a fan of the line, but this Code Sport is the best of Armani always. A green, herbal, and citrus fragrance with traces of the original’s DNA, featuring mint as the note that shines through, cooling the scent and giving it a fabulous character. It balances marine notes, evoking a summer day with a sunny sky and a blue sea backdrop, without the heat, as if on a yacht with an unbuttoned white shirt letting the breeze through. It carries luminous freshness from an incredibly natural lemon and an uplifting opening that wakes you up and puts you in a good mood; it’s high-spirited, ideal for Mondays that feel like Fridays. A total and purely daytime aroma, one of the best in its class. Unfortunately, it’s pricey and I’m unsure if it’s discontinued. Performance is average, satisfactory and noticeable without being overwhelming. Definitely a must. Scent: 9.0. Projection: almost 3 hours. Longevity: 6 hours. Recommended.

It’s a remarkably interesting perfume due to its complex citrus profile; besides fresh and intriguing citrus notes, it possesses an aromatic quality from the mint that breaks the linear citrus character, giving it body and turning it into an olfactory experience. It has a mature and sober base from the vetiver and a slight sweetness from the amber. It’s fresh, seductive, and aromatic. Ideal for casual outings, daywear, or the gym, but its quality also allows use in semi-formal settings or offices. If you like fresh citrus perfumes or are seeking one that isn’t linear, this is an interesting recommendation. The mandarin/lemon combination gives it a unique quality.

It has always been my favourite perfume: fresh, sophisticated and versatile. An excellent scent for any occasion; I wore it at university and received endless compliments. I even met my girlfriend wearing it, and she is absolutely obsessed with it – she goes crazy every time she smells it. If I could find more in stock, she would buy them all, haha. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued, but I saved a quarter of the last bottle I bought and now only wear it for special occasions.

I love it; one of my favourites. It is discontinued in Argentina and no longer available.

The other day I went to the perfumeries to restock it and couldn’t find it. On eBay, the 125ml bottles are already over €200: I suppose this is the definitive proof of its discontinuation. However, several online perfumeries still have stock at the normal price. It is tragic for me; I consider it the best in the line. A modern mentholated, fresh and crisp scent that shines on the skin over a base of the original Code, with excellent performance. What a pity. And I won’t say any more to avoid being dramatic or a hater.

Smells very much like lime and lemon. I agree with those who say it reminds them of SevenUp. Ideal for hot days when you’re out eating or taking a walk. Good projection.

Exquisite. Mint and lime combined with other notes make it very refreshing and natural. It gives off a vibe like Coca-Cola with Sprite.

I waited a long time to care for a decant of this beautiful fragrance before acquiring this piece, which isn’t easy to find. The scent is super fresh, reminding me a bit of the opening of Guerlain Homme: well-executed mint, lemon-lime and something that smells like peppermint (though it’s not in the official notes). It’s super versatile: it works well at the office, for casual outings, sport or the beach. The only thing I wouldn’t wear it to is formal events like weddings or graduations. On my skin it projects moderately and consistently for 4 to 5 hours, and closer to the skin it’s noticeable for over 8. I don’t detect any amber or anything that would make it creamy; on the contrary, it’s light, easy to digest and friendly. It’s almost impossible for anyone to find it heavy or intrusive. Without a doubt, it’s one of the best sport options on the market, although I believe it has been discontinued. I’ve seen elsewhere that the 2016 Armani Code Sport version has different notes. It stays in my collection for its aroma and versatility. Excellent fragrance. Best regards!

Totally agree with the previous comments. Armani Code Sport is pure action perfume; it competes in the semi-formal league but moves much better than others in the sports category. The opening is super energising, with that crisp cocktail of mint and citrus. The ginger gives that clean scent, and together with the aquatic notes, it creates the sensation of a cold, refreshing shower. Then a slightly herbaceous and woody vetiver comes through, with an aniseed touch reminiscent of the original, closing with its classic vanilla and tonka sweetness (which here is amber). Smells great. It’s very versatile: one of the few sports fragrances that goes perfectly for skiing in winter, cycling in spring, or going out for a drink at night in summer. In winter it becomes drier and more invigorating, while in summer it’s sweeter and more romantic; in both cases it has charm and is one of the most beloved. Plus, it lasts well: on my skin it lasts a minimum of four or five hours and reacts a lot with sweat or water. If you apply a little more (but much less than other sports), you easily reach seven or eight hours of projection at first, then trail. It delivers and gets a good mark. I love it so much! xD 9/10

Armani Code Sport is one of the best ‘SPORT’ proposals, a label I personally detest for its cluttered classicism. But what matters is the fragrance. This Code Sport left me with a pleasant encounter with one of my favourite notes: mint. Armani assembled something valuable by mixing three types of mint (not declared) and which at times smells like peppermint. The result is brilliant. As Jimblue says, it’s detoxifying; I would add that its vibe is honest, attractive, and quite sexy. It has great duration and effective trail if body heat rises; it’s a magnet. Among the best from Armani, almost indispensable if you collect.

I used it as soon as it came out, back in 2011, and it was one of my essentials. At the time, my nose preferred woody, spiced, or aquatic citrus over oriental scents. However, I was gifted a 100ml tester for Christmas and here we are again, united by that very uplifting and refreshing vibe in this season of over 30 degrees. It’s good: you can detect the tangerine and intense mint in the opening, the vibrant ginger sweetened by amber and aquatic notes. Then… youthful, casual, versatile, persistent, honest, simple, and detoxifying against heavy smells. UPDATE: We are in 2018 and my heart and nose have once again leaned towards spiced woody citrus. Unfortunately, Code Sport and Ice no longer exist; they have been discontinued.

I like the fragrance. It’s a good ‘Sport’ that highlights ginger and lemon, reminding me of Burberry Sport. The mint, tangerine, and aquatic notes are a bit quieter but still present. The amber is very apt. It lasts six to eight hours, and if you apply it to your clothes, it will last even longer. The trail remains moderate throughout. It’s ideal for informal days; it smells clean even when you’re sweating. If you’re looking for an innovative Sport, this isn’t it as it offers nothing new; however, it’s very good and fulfils its purpose.

It doesn’t seem like a sport scent to me; it’s heavier than the original Code. I prefer the other Codes (the original and the Ultimate); this is the one I’ve liked the least.

This fragrance passed without making much of an impression in my collection of colognes. It smells nice but failed to capture my attention. The mint note was far too dominant, yet it didn’t quite convince me. In short, I won’t be buying it again. Regards.
