After Beautiful (1985), this is the only flanker that has truly won me over. What a piece of perfumery! It has a perfect composition for the magnolia to shine as intensely as its name suggests. The opening is citrusy from the tangerine, then the magnolia shines in all its glory, closing with leather, cedar and musk. It leaves a woody, fine and elegant magnolia that embodies beauty, purity and femininity. It has made me addicted to smelling myself and wearing it on my skin; for me, it’s a 10/10. I started wearing it in summer, but I think it performs better in autumn. The bottle is lovely and the atomiser is very good.
It’s floral and delicate. It opens with tangerine citrus, but as it dries down, the iris and magnolia take centre stage; it’s the first time I’ve tried just those two flowers and I absolutely loved it. In the base, there are green notes I think are violet leaves, and the vanilla peeks out very shyly. It’s a pity the patchouli is noticeable and I don’t like it, plus I couldn’t detect the leather. I’m sticking with the iris-magnolia heart, which is what I enjoyed most.
