I remember I once had it, in my 20s I used it daily, for any occasion. My salary was super low, so I had few fragrances back then. I remember it as very pleasant, with medium longevity and weak projection. Super easy to wear and inoffensive. It gave off a clean man odour. Masculine profile. Recommended if you can get it really really cheap, for 10 dollars or so, given its projection and longevity.
A fragrance my mum gave me. It’s a simple soap and wood scent that feels like just out of the shower. It projects for 1 to 2 hours and then stays close to the skin. It’s a simple fragrance that can work for getting started in the world of fragrances.
It’s a fragrance I bought blind because it was on sale. Honestly I don’t like it at all. It smells very old-fashioned, low quality and with a pretty overdone scent. It doesn’t last well on my skin and honestly along with Invictus EDT it must be one of the two fragrances I struggled most to finish… I wouldn’t buy it again (just like the other one). I only used it for the office but I even felt uncomfortable wearing it… but since I had already bought it, there was no other option… gift it? No way… I wouldn’t do that to anyone haha. Keep it? For what? So when I finished it I ended my relationship with it for good. I won’t buy it again and I don’t recommend it.
As Santiago T says, it’s very good for lounging around at home, smelling freshly showered and feeling fresh. Note that it’s not to everyone’s taste. My family doesn’t like it.
Ideal straight out of the shower, and for a day with no work or social commitments. For staying at home. For me the performance is poor, very short-lived. Not Natura’s best, not even close.
Perfect for daily use, a clean and fresh scent like just out of the shower or the barber’s. Not for people with a sweet taste.
Good, for daily use. Easy to wear.
This fragrance reminds me a lot of Encre Noir Sport, but this one is more aromatic in the heart, and the vetiver is less sharp. Great fragrance for everyday needs. Longevity: 4hrs Sillage: moderate Age: 27+ Use: versatile daytime (heat)
Hello. I tried Biografía and forgot about searching for a versatile fragrance. Here you have the odour of a clean, neat man, showered with some shower gel; shaved plus an aftershave; with ironed and impeccable clothes. I regret that it fades after 2 hours, but for the price, time to reapply, that’s said. It’s like the father of today’s blue fragrances, replacing the “mischief” of the latter (those spicier notes) with “sobriety”, as the secret of its charm.
I like this perfume, it takes me olfactorily back to remembering the Paco Rabanne XS from the 90s, it’s a clean, pleasant, gentlemanly fragrance, for the office, since it’s not bothersome, for relaxing, I don’t think it’s for teens, since it’s zero sweet and doesn’t have that projection of its brother Assinatura, it’s more a timeless classic, with a certain barbershop touch, a little more projection and longevity and it would be a must-buy in any collection.
For years I have used Natura’s Kaiak Urbe, a very nice fragrance that I have also reviewed here. Since less than 10 ml is left I decided to get another Natura to hit the spray and not use up so much of my designer fragrances (even though I have many, but well… you’ll understand). I decided to buy the Biografía Clásico, a 1994 vintage Natura that is still produced today. The scent is simple: clean smell, with a touch of lavender, a citrus opening (but that doesn’t properly smell of lemon) and woody tones for the drydown but always with the same scent as the opening although it remains a bit intense and astringent. It gives me a bit of a cleaning product scent feeling rather than a barber-shop style fragrance. I would even say it smells quite modern for being from 1994, very similar to some “blue” fragrances from many current fragrance houses. The scent is not unpleasant, in fact I like it and I’ll start using it. It’s a fragrance to smell good, clean and to get by if you have to do some routine outing that doesn’t warrant wearing a Dior or a Cartier, to name my two favourite fragrance houses. It’s an eminently daytime fragrance, with moderate longevity and projection and I see it as versatile for the whole year, regardless of seasons. Do I recommend it? Of course I do, it’s always good to have a reliable all-rounder fragrance that costs less than 10 dollars. In the future I’ll try the other two Biografía: Inspire and Assinatura.
An interesting fragrance, although broadly with a soft and simple olfactory appearance reminiscent of shaving cream applied in an old barber’s shop, when analysing its evolution I can conclude that it is not at all linear, that it is not so simple and that it goes through several stages. On one hand, spicy citrus woody it has something of Paco Rabanne XS (Original Version ’94) and on the other hand the green herbal of Café Iced, without being a clone of either. Biografía holds a clear vintage style, highly sought after by many, although it doesn’t seem aimed at a teenage audience. With moderate sillage and longevity it is perfect for its versatility.
If you like fragrances that smell like a barber’s shop it’s a good buy, the value for money is excellent. For a catalogue scent it’s not linear at all, it opens citrusy and with clean notes (it even smells like cleaning product, which I don’t particularly like), with cedar, after a few minutes a dissonant accord appears that I don’t like much, similar to something organically foul-smelling, I don’t know how to describe it, like a faint wind (hahaha!) but that dissonance lasts about 30 minutes and then it lingers like shaving foam and is very pleasant for me at that point. I have a sample of Himalaya by Creed, keeping proportions in mind the Biografia by Natura sits in that territory, masculine. It keeps evolving like that. Its longevity is moderate but sufficient, on my dry skin it lasts about 6 hours, the opening is synthetic and somewhat irritating for me, but it’s only minutes. As an anecdote, the dissonant note I mention was noticed by my daughter and her friend, they said to me: how can you wear that!!?, but in truth you only notice it when you bring your nose close to the area where you applied the perfume. Its sillage is moderate and won’t bother anyone. It’s not a “modern” fragrance, here we are faced with more classic aromas, it won’t be a great compliment getter, nor a seductive fragrance. But it will guarantee a manly and clean aroma. In short, apart from the opening and that half hour of annoying note afterwards, it’s the type of fragrance I like. It’s for daily use, I wouldn’t use it for special occasions, it’s best enjoyed in warm weather, summer, spring, although it can be used in any season.
As a friend below says, it smells to me like Gillette shaving cream with a vintage touch but I like it a lot, it lasts me about 6 hours without any issues
Good fragrance from Natura, I find the aroma similar to Gillette shaving gel, it smells clean, somewhat herbal, with a fairly synthetic lemon touch and in the background a soft woody base. Nutmeg can be a bit strong in the opening but it evolves very well. Good longevity, moderate sillage, it’s a fairly soft perfume, I find it ideal for the office in spring.
Right, I’ve just bought this fragrance, first of all I don’t recommend it for a teenage audience. It’s a rich fragrance, it makes you feel like you’re outdoors in a field… it smells very natural, very very herbal… I wouldn’t buy it blind but if you like the smell of the countryside this could be a good option
It’s not my favourite fragrance, but I wear it because a lot of people find it pleasant when I do, however it’s not for everyone, it has a note that gives me a bit of a headache and that’s why I don’t rate it higher. Moderate sillage and longevity, the new bottle version is much more attractive than the original.
I tried it and in terms of value for money it’s really worth it!
I owned it, very similar to XS, a bit sharper.
Good Natura fragrance, I find the scent similar to Gillette shaving gel, it smells clean, somewhat herbal, with a fairly synthetic lemon touch and a soft woody base. Nutmeg can be a bit strong in the opening but it develops very well. Good longevity, moderate sillage, it’s a fairly soft perfume, I think it’s ideal for the office in spring.
I had it, very similar to XS, a bit sharper.
Perfect for daily wear, a clean and fresh scent like just out of the shower or the barber’s. Not for those who like sweet scents.
As a friend below says, it smells to me of Gillette shaving cream with a vintage touch but I really like it, it lasts about 6 h on me with no issues
I tried it and for the price-product ratio it’s very good value!
It’s a perfume I bought blind because it was on sale. Honestly, I don’t like it at all. It smells very old-fashioned, low quality and like a rather overused scent already. It doesn’t last long on my skin and honestly, along with Invictus EDT, it’s one of the two fragrances that was hardest for me to finish… I wouldn’t buy it again (just like the other one). I only used it for the office but it even made me feel uncomfortable wearing it… but since I had already bought it, there was no other option… give it away? no… I wouldn’t do that to anyone haha. Keep it? what for? so once I’d finished it I ended my relationship with it for good. I won’t buy it again and I wouldn’t recommend it.
The one my mum gave me. Smells like soap and wood, as if straight from the shower. Lasts an hour or two before settling on the skin. Ideal for starting out in the world of perfumes.
I bought it blindly on offer and, to be honest, I simply don’t like it. It smells dated, low quality, and very common. It doesn’t last on my skin and, along with Invictus EDT, is one of the fragrances that took me the longest to finish. I wouldn’t buy it again or recommend it. I wore it at work and it even made me feel uncomfortable… as I already had it, there was no option. To give it away? No, I wouldn’t do that to anyone. To keep it? Why? Once I finished it, I ended my relationship with it for good.
I bought it blindly on offer. Honestly, it doesn’t work for me at all. It smells stale, low quality, and a bit clichéd. The longevity is poor on my skin; along with Invictus EDT, these are the two I’ve struggled most to finish. I wouldn’t recommend it or buy it again. I used to wear it at the office and it even felt uncomfortable. I can’t gift it, and I can’t keep it either, so I finally got rid of it.
As Santiago T says, it’s very good for going from house to house, smelling freshly bathed and feeling fresh. However, it’s not to everyone’s taste. My family just don’t take to it.
Ideal for straight out of the shower and for a day with no work or social commitments. For staying in. For me, the performance is poor and very short. It’s not the best from Natura, nor close to it.
