About Black Tide
Black Tide: A Shadowy, Mineral Woody-Aquatic
Composed by Kenny A. Nolasco and introduced in 2026, Black Tide from House of 1123 is a woody aquatic fragrance for both men and women.
Its character lies in the meeting of salt air and wet ground, resolving into woods, incense resins and musk.
At first, sea notes and salt meet mineral and ozonic touches. The impression is cool and saline, evoking mist above the water rather than a sunlit shore.
The centre reveals wet stone and algae alongside mushroom, earthy nuances, cypress and vetiver. The odour becomes damp, green and aromatic, with a mossy woodland feel.
The foundation is built around driftwood pieces, patchouli and nagarmotha, enriched with olibanum, myrrh, Amberwood, oud and musk. An ambery, gently spiced warmth comes through, yet the marine saltiness remains.
As a whole, it balances woody, earthy, marine, salty and ozonic accords with aromatic freshness and spice. A fragrance that characterises the tide at its darkest hour.
It will suit those drawn to unisex sea-inspired scents with depth, particularly lovers of vetiver, cypress, patchouli and sombre, resinous woods.
Black Tide offers a brooding interpretation of the aquatic theme, where mineral brine and forest damp anchor one another. Sea, stone and timber, held in balance.
