BLOUD by House of 1123 Brings Blue Fruit to Myrrh and Leathered Oud

From House of 1123, BLOUD is a woody oriental for men and women that arrived in 2026. Created by nose Kenny A. Nolasco, it moves from juicy brightness to balsamic shadow to a long, woody dry-down.

It opens with blue blackberries, mandarin and fruits, settles into myrrh, incense and resins, then closes with oud wood, Laotian oud, leather, patchouli and Amberwood.

At first the emphasis is firmly on fruit. The blue-blackberry note is dark and succulent, sharpened by mandarin citrus. A general fruit accord keeps the sweetness full-bodied, rather than fresh and thin.

The middle brings the shift. Myrrh lends a soft, bittersweet balsam character, while incense introduces a pale, still smoke. Resins bind the two, adding body and the warm-spiced glow associated with the oriental family.

The base is where the woods take charge. Oud wood alongside Laotian oud provides earthy resonance, with leather giving it a polished edge. Patchouli contributes sombre depth and Amberwood carries the finish towards dry amber.

In wear the picture is coherent: a woody-amber framework, a fruity-sweet top layer, and an undercurrent of oud, leather, balsamic warmth and smoke. Nothing feels detached; the richness comes from layering.

Worn by any gender, BLOUD is best understood as an evening oriental. It favours those who enjoy travelling from vivid fruit through resin towards dark timber.

It should appeal to devotees of woody orientals, oud, leather and amber looking for a unisex statement. Particularly fitting for those who like a fruity prelude followed by incense, balsam and warm wood.

In BLOUD, House of 1123 delivers a well-ordered modern oriental, tracing blue fruit into myrrh and incense and finally into leathered oud. Kenny A. Nolasco keeps sweetness, resin and timber in fine proportion.
