  1. A superb vintage chypre that’s incredibly unisex for today; it opens citrusy and mentholated, then dries down to a yellow amber floral where the lavender is barely noticeable, giving it that perfect unisex touch. It’s an absolute bargain. It works equally well for spring-summer (for the daytime) and autumn (for the dry-down). In the heat, it lasts a mere whisper, but in the cold, I put it on at 8 or 9 and still have distinct bursts on my nose by 5 or 6, and if I apply it to my wrist, it lingers even longer. I can’t see any resemblance whatsoever to Aromatics Elixir, Aramis, Cabochard, or Eau de Campagne.
