Laurence Dumont perfume offers top-notch value for money. It’s not my favourite from the collection, but it is a wonderful scent. The opening is a soft, warm, almost sweet woodiness, followed by a jasmine that is very woody and creamy—not the typical feminine floral, but one with character, semi-powdery, warm and deeply woody. After several hours, the jasmine becomes very subtle and the woods take centre stage: warm, sweet, balsamic and spiced, with a mysterious oriental touch that is incredible. It’s a soft yet long-lasting fragrance; it endures on the skin without an overwhelming trail. It’s more shy; you need to get close to notice it, like an aura that envelops you. If you’re looking for fresh, light scents, look elsewhere. It’s unisex and priced fantastically. Highly recommended if you enjoy elegant floral woody notes. Les Senteurs Gourmandes is Laurence Dumont’s collection, not an independent designer line as Fragrantica claims, so it appears duplicated in the database because it’s already correctly listed under their profile.
