It bears a strong resemblance to the Pear Gentleman EDT, rather than the Intense. Smells like old chewing gum, fruity and dusty; soft and sweet yet clean, with no vanilla or chocolate notes. The iris and leather are barely a whisper, nothing overpowering.

I tried it yesterday and while it’s rich, at this price point it smells just like an Axe deodorant. Literally the same IFF ingredients. Better to get 20 cans of that leather and cookie deodorant; it lasts longer. Or look for The Secret by Banderas for $30; it’s the same thing.

Boss The Scent Le Parfum is pure seduction in an elegant bottle. It opens with ginger and cardamom, intense yet refined. The African mangaba adds a sensual and addictive touch. The leather in the base adds mystery and longevity. It sits well and projects, leaving a trail that lingers. The dark, clean bottle reflects that modern sophistication. Ideal for those seeking something elegant and captivating.

I like The Scent line for the mangaba, which breaks away from the usual sweetness. I loved it in-store and bought it on the spot. However, on my skin it’s a disaster: it smells very faint and fades quickly. It needs more projection. In winter, with a coat on, it’s less noticeable than the Gentleman Reserve Privée. I’ll let it rest; perhaps it will improve, as the scent itself is charming.

To me, it smells of maninka and iris over a dark woody base; it’s a very seductive yet elegant sweet, perfect for nights, formal events, dates, or cold days. The performance is excellent: it projects well and lasts quite a while.

I was slow to try it because the original The Scent seemed mediocre to me, but reviews of this flanker convinced me. I was pleasantly surprised: it comes out with woody iris and the sweetness of mangaba, more pronounced than in the original. Good opening, although iris is my favourite note and I find it hard to be objective. As it dries down, it gets closer to the EDT and the iris lowers its profile. Decent performance and average projection for two hours. I see it as unisex and believe it’s the best from Boss since the Bottled Intense. Give it a sniff.

I was slow to try The Scent Le Parfum because the original always seemed mediocre to me, but seeing good reviews I decided to give it a go and was pleasantly surprised. At first, it smells of woody iris with the sweetness of maninka, more pronounced than in the original. The first impressions are great (iris is my favourite note and it’s hard for me to be objective). As it dries down, it gets closer to the EDT and the iris tones down. Decent performance and moderate projection for two hours. I see it as unisex and believe it’s one of Boss’s best proposals since the discontinued Bottled Intense. Give it a sniff.

This is a 10/10, the best fragrance from Hugo Boss to date.

It opens fruity due to the mangaba, which blends with the iris in 20 minutes. By the second hour, the iris takes on cocoa powder nuances, very pleasant. I’m not a fan of iris, but I prefer the heart over the opening. At five hours, it becomes woody with a light leather note. It lasts 7-8 hours with average projection. Ideal for autumn and winter; it has elegance. It’s okay, but not for me.

The Scent Le Parfum by Hugo Boss is woody, semi-sweet, and has a touch of talc. I was curious because I own the Parfum Edition and wanted to know if this was a relaunch, but they are distinct enough to own both. The opening is fruity, spicy, and slightly creamy. While the line’s DNA is there, there’s less maninka, more ginger, and an added iris that makes it unique. The base is woody with a barely perceptible leather, unlike the black version where it was more noticeable. It’s attractive, a great alternative to the Givenchy Gentleman line, ideal for parties or romantic outings in autumn and winter. It lasted over 8 hours, very prominent for the first two. I loved it, so I might buy it. I recommend trying it, especially for iris lovers!

I’ve tried it twice on blotter and I’m glad… it’s not a scent for me. It smells too sweet and tropical due to the mangaba, very bold. Perhaps I haven’t trained my nose enough, but I can’t see where to grab it. It seems more feminine; the first time the shop assistant sprayed it and I thought she had made a mistake. I tried it again a few days later and threw it away after five seconds. I had high hopes and it disappointed me completely. But this is my opinion: men’s perfumes, even gourmands, should smell like something else.

I tested it twice on blotting paper and thank goodness… it’s not a scent that suits me. It smells too sweet and tropical due to the maninka, very bold for my taste. Perhaps I haven’t trained my nose, but I can’t see where to grab it. I see it as more feminine; the first time the shop assistant sprayed it on me and I thought they’d made a mistake. I tried it again days later and confirmed I don’t like it at all: after 5 seconds I threw the paper away and looked for something else. I had high hopes and the disappointment was absolute. It’s my opinion, but I believe men’s perfumes, even gourmand ones, should smell like something else.

Bravo, an incredible creation. It’s sensual with a tropical touch, lasts a long time, and truly projects; it’s a fragrance off the charts. You might catch a hint of gourmand, but less than the Absolute. The iris is noticeable and recalls Dior Homme Intense slightly, though this one is fruitier and less gourmand.

I tried The Scent Le Parfum and must say it gave me very good results. The Private Accord with that chocolate note smells spectacular. The iris starts off super soft, but after 20 minutes it turns gourmand, and for the heat, to be honest, it can become overpowering. I think it’s more suited to autumn and spring; personally, it didn’t quite convince me as it’s too sweet, though it smells lovely. Performance on my skin: around 4 hours.

I’ll just say one thing: Bravo! It’s an incredible, sensual creation with that tropical twist that simply captivates. It lasts a long time, projects like a beast, and is on another level. You might catch a hint of gourmand, but far less than the Absolute; here the iris shines, recalling Dior Homme Intense slightly, though it’s fruitier and less sweet than that one.
