Descripción
Burberry Brit is a fruity floral fragrance for women, created by the house of Burberry in 2003. The nose behind this composition is Natalie Gracia-Cetto. The top notes unfold of almond, lime and pear; the heart reveals caramelised almond, sugar, peony and neroli; while the base settles on vanilla, tonka bean, amber and cedar.

I ordered this without trying it first, following the reviews, wanting something innocuous for daily wear and the office. Indeed, it is that: a scent that’s nothing scandalous, medium longevity, and a light trail. At first, it’s very citrusy; that slightly sour lemon mixed with sweetness lasts a while, then it improves and becomes sweeter, but the citrus comes back occasionally. It’s rich but didn’t impress me; still, it’s pleasant, doesn’t bother anyone, and I like that, although little, I can smell it almost all day. I recommend it for casual, informal, and daily use.
I’ve worn it for nearly two years and find it hard to review. At first, it didn’t suit me; the lemon opening was a bucket of cold water, as I don’t like citrus. But once it dried down, I felt at home: warm, sweet but moderate. It’s great in temperate or cold weather, lasts a long time, and I always get compliments, even when I’ve forgotten I’m wearing it. I think the sweet almond is the star note when dried down; it’s not as sweet as the oil, but it reminds me of it. There’s something in Brit that smells of wood, like a cabin in the mountains with winter air, or a hot drink with vanilla and almonds. Ideal for autumn; I use it daily during that season, with a sexy but discreet touch. I love it for university, shopping, coffee with friends, or the cinema.
I adore this perfume! The citrus opening is noticeable but softens quickly with vanilla and tonka bean. I can’t distinguish the almonds, though I’m not an expert in notes. I always get compliments. When dried down, it’s super sweet, vanilla, and thick, better for cold days. It has a flirtatious and sexy touch for young girls. I use it for parties, dinners, or shopping, although for the office I prefer something lighter. Incredible longevity, it stays on clothes for days! The sillage is noticeable but not overpowering.
My skin and this perfume hate each other. It has the classic Burberry stamp: elegant and simple, but my skin detests it. What a pity the lime ruins it; it’s bitter lime, aaarg! But why?
It’s my favourite! I know not everyone likes it. It reminds me of perfume mixes in duty-free shops, but with elegance and sophistication. I rarely find citrus and vanilla that are fresh and sweet at the same time. If you know anything similar, let me know. CK In2U has something similar, more for daytime and summer.
I love it! Sweet and vanilla, the longevity is top-notch. Nothing like Penthouse Playful; that one is mundane and horrible, a total waste of money.
Citrus with creamy almonds, just what I was looking for. The sweetness of the vanilla and tonka bean doesn’t overpower; the scent stays consistent throughout the day. A ‘correct’ fragrance 😁
I adore it! I changed the bottle, but the smell is exactly the same as it was seven years ago. It’s citrusy, sweet, and even soapy when dried down. I find it elegant and youthful, lasting 6-8 hours and suitable for all seasons. If you like sweet scents but not cloying, this is for you. Burberry Brit is my signature. 10/10
The opening didn’t suit me; the lime on my skin was too strong and even unpleasant. However, once it dried down, the vanilla emerged along with almonds, caramel, and tonka bean, with a subtle woody touch. It lasts six hours with a soft trail.
What a lovely fragrance! It’s citrusy yet sweet, not acidic at all. Very sober and versatile, perfect when you have no idea what to wear. Everyone will like it, surely.
I’m a lover of ultra-sweet fragrances. But in my country, it’s already quite hot, and some become overwhelming. That’s why I asked for a recommendation in a Facebook group for a fragrance that was ‘sweet but citrusy’, and they recommended this one, which I found in my local perfumer. It’s exactly what I was looking for. It’s fine, elegant, and wearable. Despite being simple (I smell sweet lime with vanilla), it seems to smell like an expensive perfume. I think it’s very versatile and can be worn in any season, day or night. It has long-lasting power and a moderate trail.
It doesn’t resemble the 2003 version at all. The current one just makes me feel like a very sugary lemonade with patchouli (because this version has patchouli, I don’t know to what degree, but it does). It remains versatile, but unfortunately, it’s not even half of what it used to be.
I love its scent; sweet but not cloying, although on my skin it lasts an hour.
I wanted a casual everyday perfume. I have Quatre but it’s more floral, 212 but more powdery, Chanel but very elegant, and a Dior that doesn’t last. I tried many I didn’t have yet, but they were all missing something; I like citrus, but my skin doesn’t like them at all; they turn into an unpleasant smell. However, this one, although it says lemon, on my skin became fresh, and what was missing in the other samples was a clean scent, which I assume comes from the peony and cedar, juicy sugar pear without falling into cloying. I’d lie if I said I smell almond because I can’t assimilate that mixture at all. Edit: the scent seemed familiar to me; today I realised it’s the innocent son, the daytime version of Armani Code for Woman… (I clarify that my Burberry is the reformulated version).
To my nose, it’s a slightly almond-sweet lemon. It lasts perfectly through a workday, noticeable for 6-8 hours. It doesn’t leave a very wide trail but it is noticeable. I find it versatile; it’s a scent that pleases and doesn’t invade. All good, but I hate the bottle for the world, hahaha.
The opening is dreadful! It’s a slap in the face of bergamot and sharp, even bitter lemon. I thought the dry-down would be good, so I waited. The fragrance transforms; the citrus softens and that sharp part disappears, but the lemon remains. In the dry-down, it smells like sweet lemon caramel with a touch of powdery almond. It’s a peculiar scent; once the opening ceases, it’s not unpleasant for most, but if there is one smell that annoys me, it’s sweet lemon. That’s why it left my collection. I’m not sure I can bear that opening every time I spray it. It’s a perfume in no man’s land, a purée between citrus and gourmand. If you love citrus and sweet lemon, you’ll probably like it. It’s hard to try before buying; for me, it was a blind purchase. If you can try it before, I recommend it; buying it blind is risky. I can’t comment on longevity because I ended up washing my arm. Moderate trail; not a bomb. Scent: 5/10, Trail: 6/10.
I would have loved to have owned it when it was more long-lasting, as people say. I adore the scent, but the longevity is limited and the trail is small. I have a 2021 version. The lime and almond at the start are unmatched and very rich; it has a sharp, rough tone that I like a lot. This continues, then vanilla is added and the perfume sweetens a bit more. It smells clean and is an all-rounder if you don’t know what to wear. I’ve worn it all year, mainly during the day, but I think it stands out at work because it’s friendly to other people’s noses. I’ve bought a second bottle because I atomise a lot. I love its versatility; it makes choosing between so many perfumes easier and I’m always satisfied.
It made its way onto my list thanks to several recommendations. Generally, I like this house’s perfumes, so I didn’t hesitate to ask for a sample as soon as I could. I’d summarise it as citrusy, slightly sweet, almond-like, and vanilla. I’d define the sweetness as dry, featuring citrus fruits and green almonds. I love it; it’s a lovely, versatile fragrance for everyday wear. On me, it has good projection or at least lasts noticeable all day, although after six hours it’s less intense. I recommend it; I feel anyone would like it. Plus, it’s super cheap in my country.
I’ve fallen in love with this fragrance. On my skin, lime dominates at first until it settles into a mouth-watering scent; I reapply whenever I can because I adore that clean, creamy, sparkling citrus smell. Ideal for spring and summer, the only downside is I think the longevity doesn’t last more than 2-3 hours (I’ve had to reapply). I can’t stop receiving compliments wherever I go; it has a trail beyond the arm but isn’t invasive or annoying. I believe everyone will like it. A great discovery bought blind solely based on reviews.
The 2022 version resembles the original from 2003 but isn’t identical. It’s more citrusy; I don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t fascinate me as much as the previous one. I don’t understand why they reformulate; it happened to me with Guess by Marciano too.
I bought it blindly online along with three others at low prices. Terrible disappointment: it smells like a light cologne that evaporates in minutes. The opening is very masculine and the faint almonds disappear quickly. For me, it’s a ghost perfume. I suppose it doesn’t suit my pH. A pity, 100 ml left to gather dust.
The opening is a hyper-realistic lime, but that’s where the freshness ends. It has too much almond in the opening; the lime should last longer on its own. The caramelised almond heart is good, but the extra sugar with the lime could smell like burnt rubber to some. The base notes are perfect; the first time I noticed cedar in a feminine scent. A winter powerhouse, potent and long-lasting. Be careful with sprays, it’s intense. If you like it, try Yves Rocher’s Cuir de Nuit, with cocoa and very cosy.
I bought it blindly in 100 ml after reading a lot. Upon application, a notable but not sharp citrus that yields to a lovely sweet and almond-like dry-down. It’s a curious and pretty blend: it seems citrusy at first but changes quickly. It’s sweet without being gourmand, fresh without being purely citrusy and easy to wear. I use it for work and receive compliments; it’s noticeable. It’s a perfect modern basic classic. I recommend it 100%.
Santa brought it to me and I loved it from Christmas Day. Lime and pear opening; the lime persists through the dry-down while the pear disappears. Once dried, the sugared almonds and vanilla add warmth without being heavy. Moderate trail (one metre). Medium longevity, 6 hours, but for its affordable price (~30€) it’s fine. Although it was a gift, I would buy it again.
There’s nothing else like it in my collection, it’s unique! I love citrus and the first blast of lime is strong and direct. Then the almonds come out and it smells like lemon shortbread. It’s gorgeous and lasts for many hours. I adore this brand.
I tried a sample: a fresh lime opening that blends with dry almonds and warmth. At first (15 minutes) I sense something masculine and woody, but then it sweetens and becomes feminine. It’s not youthful, it’s versatile and not gourmand. It reminds me of Armani Code Donna and Versace Crystal Noir for that mysterious and neat vibe. Moderate trail and 6 hours on skin. The second time I liked it more, worth trying, but don’t buy blindly.
It smells incredible, but the longevity is a disappointment; a body splash lasts longer. I love Burberry scents, but something is missing in their formulations. I wouldn’t buy it again, although I really like it.
I adore it. The bitter lime opening is addictive, followed by a semi-sweet almond that makes me want to spray it all over my body. It’s true that it doesn’t last long, but it’s super versatile and lifts the spirits. A classic that always comes in handy.
The perfect all-rounder: it lifts the mood and suits any occasion. Simple, pleasant and reliable. Citrus and fruity notes yield to sweet almonds and vanilla, keeping a hint of lemon at the base. It’s sweet and powdery, ideal for cold weather. Good projection and trail; people sometimes ask what I’m wearing. Sweet without being cloying, I love it.
Always a hit: timeless, versatile and very feminine, perfect for a last-minute outfit. The longevity is moderate, even mediocre, but it saves the day for short outings or with daily reapplication. A delightful scent that never fails.
I find it very versatile, suitable for day wear and any season. It has that citrus and sweet blend that I adore. Although it doesn’t have extreme longevity, its staying power and sillage are quite acceptable. Curiously, it’s the perfume that flatters me the most, especially men; I wouldn’t have thought it would succeed being so simple, but it does. I finished my 50ml bottle and have restocked with the 100ml one which was at a great price (around €35). For the quality, it’s a bargain given current designer perfume prices.
What a beautiful perfume; I’ve wanted it for a long time because of the Smarties Review reviews; they described it so temptingly that they admit to describing it exactly as it is. The opening seemed unisex, almost masculine, until I looked at the box to confirm my order… but no. After 15 minutes, the magic begins: a combo of sugared almonds with touches of sweet lime, delicious. After about two hours, it settles into a super lovely vanilla with traces of juicy almond. I was fascinated. I loved it. A must-have and super low cost.
Burberry Brit is perfect for everything. What a beautiful perfume, a simple composition with something citrus, something floral, and something sweet, without elevated notes. It’s sweet without being cloying, the definition of versatility, suitable for every season and occasion, perhaps except the most special ones. Performance is average and the projection is for personal enjoyment at a very moderate cost, around $35. Who will like it: everyone.
It was a blind purchase with which I wasn’t entirely satisfied: on me it doesn’t last long, perhaps a couple of hours, and it doesn’t have a great sillage either. What I feel most is the sugary note from the opening right through to the dry down. Although lavender isn’t declared, I detect a lavender-like citrus that doesn’t convince me. It seems like a generic perfume; I won’t buy it again.
I just bought it and I don’t understand why it has such good reviews. The opening doesn’t appeal to me; for me, it’s not lemon but something more masculine, like lavender. In the dry down, I detect vanilla and toasted almonds, and I don’t understand how, since they already have caramelised almonds, they finish with sugar. It’s too much for me. It has excellent longevity on clothes, but the sillage isn’t very wide, which I appreciate. I’ll leave it for winter to see if I like it more; initially, it’s a NO, although the price is very affordable.
They gifted it to me. I tried wearing it several times, but it definitely didn’t suit me. It’s quite cloying and overwhelming. I gifted it to someone else, and it suits them perfectly; they even say it doesn’t smell the same when they wear it as it did when I wore it.
A very good perfume for its low cost. To my taste, it has a good balance between sweet and fresh. It’s one of those scents that makes you feel comforted.
I had high hopes for Burberry Brit. I bought a 100ml bottle months ago. Unfortunately, I only notice a sharp lime opening that I liked, but it vanishes after 20 minutes, leaving a barely perceptible sweet trail. I expected a proper fragrance masterpiece, but it’s just a shadow of what it once was. It’s strange seeing the reviews. I bought it from Secreto Digital and it’s not worth it… I hope it matures.
What a lovely, delicate, and addictive blend of almonds, pear, and vanilla. It’s warm, opening fresh with green lemon before the dominant notes emerge. I struggle to detect the declared notes, but I don’t need to; Brit won me over at first sniff with its cheerful, simple charm. It’s subtly sweet, inoffensive, without an invasive sillage, and it brings joy. Very versatile, though in extreme heat I prefer to layer it to avoid being overwhelming. The downside is longevity: on skin it lasts about three hours, so I apply it to my clothes. I’d wish it lasted longer, but it’s a brilliant and hard-to-find scent these days.
I love it with my whole soul! It’s the second bottle I own and I’m hunting for another before they discontinue it. It’s timeless: lemon, almonds, flowers, and a sweet touch, all blended perfectly. My mum gifted it to me when it launched, and I’m still head over heels. It was her signature back in the day. Despite being 22 years old, it doesn’t smell vintage; it’s divine, feminine, and refreshing.
