Burberry Brit Rhythm for women is a floral musky woody fragrance from the olfactive family, launched in 2014. This composition was created by Natalie Gracia-Cetto and Antoine Maisondieu. The top notes reveal lavender, neroli, pink pepper, and aldehydes; the heart unfolds with iris root, petal, orange blossom, and blackberry leaf; while the base notes settle with musk, woody notes, vetiver, cedar, and coumarin.

  • I’m not a fan of pepper in perfumes, but this and Presence d’une Femme by Montblanc are the only ones where the pepper doesn’t bother me or sit badly on my skin. Very well balanced at the beginning, fresh and soft, in the line of Burberry The Beat, Sport Woman, etc.

  • I loved it and it really lifted my spirits at first – fresh and lively. Then it shifts to something innocent, soft and delicate. The trail is moderate and pleasant. PS: At 24 hours, after a shower, I can still smell it right up against my skin – very soft but definitely there. My ten-year-old nephew says it smells like baby wet wipes.

  • I loved this fragrance and found it very revitalising at its opening, fresh and lively. Then it seems to transform into a cologne with innocent tones, soft and delicate. Moderate and pleasant sillage. PS: After 24 hours of testing it on my skin and even after a shower, I can still perceive it as a skin scent, very soft and requiring the nose to be close, but it’s there. For my nephew (10 years old), it smells like baby wet wipes.

  • On my skin, the top notes are just like Halloween and the base notes remind me of Black XS. It’s pleasant, but lacks original character. I could get the same scent for much less. Nothing extraordinary.

  • On my skin, the top notes are very similar to Halloween, and the base notes remind me of Black XS. It’s a pleasant fragrance, but the perfume lacks an original character. I can get the same scent for a much lower price. Nothing extraordinary.

  • The first time I tested it on my skin, about a year ago, I didn’t like the combination of musk, floral, and spicy notes, which overwhelmed my sense of smell immediately. Today I gave it a second chance, and it turned out to be a somewhat irreverent and aggressive fragrance, softened by the musk; it feels soapy and peppery alongside the vetiver and lavender. I liked it! Without a doubt, for autumn-winter, it’s a very interesting option with a distinct British presence.

  • I tried it a year ago and didn’t like the saturated blend of musk, floral and spicy notes that overwhelmed my nose. I gave it another go today and on my skin it’s irreverent and aggressive, softened by the musk. It reads soapy and slightly spicy with vetiver and lavender – I liked that. Ideal for autumn and winter; an interesting option with a distinct British presence.

  • I love it. It’s a pity it has such a soft sillage and low fixation on my skin; I apply it to my clothes for greater longevity. I wear it to the office; it’s delicate.

It’s soft, so powdery, and lasts on my skin for about seven hours, give or take. The sillage isn’t… well, madness! but it’s there when you pass close to someone… I know there’s no almond in its notes, but there’s something that reminds me of them… Anyway, I liked it. I think it suits all climates.

  • It has a very rich clean scent and isn’t the typical powder perfume; the truth is, it’s quite special and different from what I have in my collection. In my opinion, it’s an underrated fragrance. It’s powdery and soapy with a lavender scent. On my skin, it feels unisex and has moderate sillage and longevity. It’s impossible to feel overwhelmed with this perfume, as it’s soft and delicate. Suitable for any work environment.

  • It smells clean and rich, not that typical powdery scent. It feels special and different from my other choices. In my opinion, it’s undervalued. It is powdery and soapy with lavender. On my skin it’s unisex, with moderate trail and longevity. You don’t feel overwhelmed; it’s soft and delicate. Suitable for any job.

  • It’s a very elegant fragrance, suitable for work or special occasions. I tried wearing it for everyday use, but I felt I wasn’t dressed up enough for it. As other reviews say, I notice it soapy and powdery. On my skin, the neroli stands out. I’d recommend it for autumn and spring; in summer, it can feel a bit suffocating. Longevity on skin is around 6-7 hours with a moderate to soft sillage. I own it, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again.

  • Very elegant, perfect for work or special occasions. I tried it for everyday wear but felt it made me look too dressed up. As others say, it’s soapy and powdery. On my skin, the neroli really stands out. I’d recommend it for autumn and spring; it can be overwhelming in summer. It lasts 6–7 hours with a moderate trail. I own it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

This perfume smells of clean, fresh skin, with a touch of powder and floral notes; depending on the day, it can feel slightly woody, but without being strong or overwhelming. It’s one of those fragrances that never lets you down and saves the day in any situation. I wear it all year round, especially for everyday use, as I live in a country without four distinct seasons, where my region is tropical and humid (those of us living here know it’s nothing pleasant having the heat index through the roof 😶🌫️), so it’s my go-to and one of my favourites. As for longevity, it lasts perfectly eight hours on skin and clothes, so I have no complaints.

  • Burberry Brit Rhythm is difficult to categorise: neither feminine, nor floral, nor fresh. The opening is indistinct and disorienting, very strong at first with a burnt scent I can’t quite identify. After twenty minutes, it mutates into something more pleasant with a powdery touch, but the intensity drops until it’s barely skin-scent. It’s a pity I can’t detect the lavender or the florals; overall, I find it woody and dry. I’ll give it more chances; perhaps in another season or climate it will behave differently, or I’ll simply get used to it. For now, it’s the least favourite in my Burberry collection, but other beauties from the brand make up for it. Does it resemble others? Maybe; I’ve sensed this initial accord in Pink Sugar and a discontinued Avon perfume called Free, but I definitely find nothing in common with Insolence. Anyway, I’m not in a rush to judge, because in perfumery nothing is definitive, and as Radiohead would say, true love waits.
