  • A toasted and burnt-sweet aroma… It bears a strong resemblance to Jack of Clubs, which also comes from Fragrance World/French Avenue. Both inspired by By The Fireplace. To describe it: it smells like burning something sweet, though I’m not sure exactly what. It’s an odour not suitable for blind buying. It may appeal to some; it’s complex, unnatural, and difficult to find on anyone else.

  • Canary Scent

Another inspiration from By The Fireplace. I also own Lattafa Ameer Al Oud Intense; this one is much sweeter than Capricorn. Not daily wear scents, are you a collector? They’re rare finds. Smells like something sweet burning with fine woods, hard to put into words. Always try before you buy. Best wishes.

  • I’ve used this quite a bit, so here’s my take. This fragrance blends three concepts: incense, sweet, and amber. The first impression is intriguing; the opening is unique and appears completely alcohol-free because the strong yet non-annoying base notes seem to mute it. They’re brief but echo occasionally. The heart is woody and dry with fir, creating a balsamic accord, almost vinegar-like without being sour. The base is a masterpiece: amber dominates, yet it’s felt from the start alongside resinous fir, noble woods, elemi resin (which reminds me of Althaïr by PDM), and a subtle vanilla for sweetness. It’s for making an impression or special occasions; it’s unique, deep, sophisticated, and sober. Wear it at night or in the cold, well-dressed and with attitude. Its trail is delicious, smelling better from a distance than up close, and it has earned me many compliments. It lasts 8–10 hours on skin and even after washing on clothes. It’s as if the woods are being caramelised. It must have a place on my shelf. Note: it can cause anosmia, but the ingredients are of high quality.

  • Pure incense; don’t buy it if you don’t like it. There’s a sweet touch at first, but as it dries down, it becomes cloyingly sweet incense. It’s very peculiar; while I enjoy it myself, I’d recommend it more for men.
