It was my first unisex purchase, drawn in by the positive reviews. The scent is pleasant and interesting, although at first I felt it lacked a feminine touch, which bothered me a little. But then the edition arrived: it has become my daughter’s favourite. The sillage and longevity are impressive; with only three sprays on the neck, the scent persists strongly even after 13 hours. Fantastic.
It was my first unisex perfume, I bought it due to the good reviews. The scent is pleasant and interesting, although at first it seemed more masculine than feminine and that bothered me a little. I thought about gifting it, but EDiT: now it is my daughter’s favourite. The sillage and longevity are incredible; three sprays on the neck and 13 hours later it still smells. Fantastic.
Sometimes perfumes and people are alike: that special spark you catch immediately, as if they understand you better than you realise. Swiss Arabian is a jewel that sells for less than its real value. Casablanca is elegant, refined, and enveloping, with precious fruits and flowers over a base of amber and musk. A surprising balance: only three sprays envelop you in a persistent scent that lasts all day. It is warm, spicy, and balsamic, awakening fantasies of a bustling Eastern city filled with whitewashed buildings and mysteries. Sweet but not cloying, with a notable sillage that leaves your house impregnated with spices and spicy apple. If you like sweet scents, don’t hesitate: Casablanca envelops you in a soft, delicious opulence. (Courtesy of Darkbeat)
What bad luck with this perfume. I bought it blind based on the innumerable reviews on Fragrantica and Notino, where it appears as fruity, woody, gourmand, and potent. I don’t know if I got the cursed bottle, but frankly I hardly smell anything. A very faint fruity trace and an oud note (which isn’t mentioned among the notes) on the skin, only if I smell my arm directly. It doesn’t last an hour; this attempt dissipates almost immediately. Could it be the summer? My pH? Did I get scammed? I don’t know, but I lost 54 euros and that bothers me a great deal. I have other Swiss Arabian perfumes that I liked quite a bit, enough to jump on this despite the price. This house usually sells jewels for under 30 euros, but beware, this is not the case. It’s a scam or they sold me the cursed bottle.
It smells of apple with caramel, just as promised. I decided on it after a single video convinced me with the notes, and it didn’t fail me. It is unisex, with a fruity acidic touch and a potent caramel and wood base. Very pretty and luxurious performance.
It smells of caramelised apple, that’s what I mean. I ventured to order it after seeing a single video about its notes, as I felt drawn to it. It didn’t disappoint. It is a unisex scent with a hint of acidic fruit and a potent caramel and wood base. Very lovely and excellent performance.
The first time I tried it, the scent didn’t impress me; I noticed something synthetic that I still perceive but it doesn’t bother me, particularly regarding performance. However, that magic that happens to me (does it happen to you too?) on subsequent uses occurred the next time I wore it. I fell in love with it. Apart from that maceration after the first spray as it oxygenates, I think there is something cerebral that positively transforms known scents, removing the initial strangeness. Its opening is very fruity, highlighting the apple. The dry-down speaks of fruits bathed in caramel, woods, and vanilla with a very slight smoky touch and that character of Arab houses from the musk base. It wraps, envelops, and distils a delicious sweetness, perfect for the colder months, unisex though slightly feminine. It projects a constant ‘come-hither’ without being sugary. I wouldn’t say it’s elegant. It has moderate-to-good projection and lasts 8-9 hours on skin and until the next day on clothes. Of those I know, it has nothing in common with any: in La Belle there is too much pear and more woods; in Angel’s Share there is a liquorish touch that Casablanca lacks and isn’t fruity; in La Danza delle Libellule the apple is infinitely fresher, lighter, and more natural, plus it has worse performance. To be from Swiss Arabian it’s not cheap; I recommend trying it before buying, but it has the quality we are accustomed to. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Sillage 8.5/10, Value for money 7/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
The first time I tried Casablanca, I wasn’t hooked by the scent; I felt something synthetic that I still notice but it doesn’t bother me, certainly regarding its performance. I love this house; it fills me with joy, and this Casablanca doesn’t fall short. Tired of sweet Western scents, I ventured into the oriental and I’m already lost—I don’t want to let it go. Casablanca smells like a biscuit, but with many nuances; that apple note at the start gives a hint of the journey, and yes, it’s sweet, but with charm and nothing of the Western kind.
What a delight! Smells of sweet, sparkling apple with a delicious caramel note that isn’t cloying. I adore it and it lasts about 7 hours on my skin.
The first time I smelled it, I didn’t like it at all; I felt it was too masculine. I left it away thinking of selling it, but thank goodness I didn’t. It didn’t win me over the second time either, but for some reason I kept giving it chances; it has something addictive. Now I love it! You can smell the apple and the caramel; it’s not cloying at all thanks to the contrast with the wood and leather. I’m a big fan of gourmand perfumes and I really like this one to rest from excessive sweetness. It’s also made me open up to more ‘masculine’ scents. Totally unisex; sometimes my partner wears it and I feel like eating it. I would definitely buy it again.
It smells delicious, but to me it’s almost identical to La Belle by Jean Paul Gaultier. La Belle has vanilla and this one doesn’t, but broadly speaking they are very similar. Excellent longevity and sillage on me.
Thank goodness I bought a sample. I expected an apple tart perfume but found a very acidic, almost lemony apple with a plasticky base. I find it unisex and quite Arabian; it’s different from everything I’ve tried but I just don’t get it. A bit of a meh.
I became obsessed with buying it, expecting that caramelised apple fairground scent described in the videos, but it was a disappointment. I gave it several chances and nothing. To me it’s sweet but not caramel; it feels more like vanilla without being cloying, with a fruity note I can’t quite identify. Together they don’t give that apple I was looking for; it’s a lifeless sweet scent with no notes that catch the eye. In the end, it leaves a sweet woody aroma. I think it might suit men who enjoy sweet scents; it definitely feels masculine. The only plus is that it has good quality, longevity and sillage.
Too woody for my taste; I was hoping for something more gourmand 🙁
Very similar to La Belle without being a dupe; it follows the same line, perhaps with a fresher touch. If you like that type of scent, you will love it.
I notice the grape more than the apple at first, then it smells of something very sweet without being cloying, with a hint of smoky wood. To be honest, I expected more.
Bought it blind and have fallen more in love with it over time. The packaging is understated, with a discreet box and a classic bottle featuring a heavy, well-fitting cap. It opens with a vibrant explosion of green apple and red grapes, like heading to a fair: caramelised apples shouting ‘eat me’ and summer black grapes dripping with syrup. That fruity cloud gives way to subtle white woods and very sweet amber vanilla, with a touch of patchouli that hints at complexity. Minutes later, creamy caramel toffee and a hint of suede emerge, lasting hours close to the skin; the patchouli keeps it fresh, sweet yet without being cloying. The fruits are accompanied by iris and jasmine, all very harmonious—a delicious embrace. After two hours, it projects perfectly at 30 cm, with the caramelised apple clearly identifiable. On the skin it lasts three or four hours and reappears when contacted by hot shower water; on clothes, all its nuances can be detected for up to eight hours. I believe it is unisex, though leaning towards feminine, ideal for all seasons except the height of summer, though even then in the evenings. For quality, complexity and originality, Swiss Arabian does not disappoint: a triumph.
I bought it blind and it has changed significantly over the weeks, becoming more and more enjoyable. The packaging is simple, with a sober box and a classic bottle with a heavy cap that closes well. It opens with green apple and red grapes, a vibrant, sweet and fresh explosion. It transports me to fairs with caramel apples shouting ‘eat me’ and summer black grapes dripping with syrup. Then it moves to subtle white woods and very sweet amber vanilla, with a touch of patchouli that makes it complex. Within minutes, creamy caramel toffee and suede erupt, lasting hours on the skin. The patchouli adds freshness; it is sweet but not cloying. There are iris and jasmine that make it round and harmonious, a delicious embrace. After two hours, it is noticeable at 30 cm, lasts 3-4 hours on the skin and reappears in hot shower water. On clothes, it smells perfect for up to 8 hours. I think it is unisex, leaning towards feminine, ideal for all seasons except summer heat. For quality and complexity, Swiss Arabian does not disappoint. A success.
A beautiful perfume with great longevity and a strong sillage. It is original and feminine. After a year of mellowing, I like it even more; at first, I felt a milky note that was a bit much on the face, but now I don’t notice it at all. The grape and wood combination is spectacular.
I’ve been wearing this for a few days and the moment I sprayed it, it immediately reminded me of my favourite, JPG’s ‘La Belle’. I know one is pear and the other is apple, and although they are different, I think with Casablanca, the other isn’t necessary anymore. I see La Belle as more suitable for cold weather, whereas this is more versatile for any climate. It feels more sophisticated than the youthful La Belle. They are both beasts! Longevity and projection are excellent, although mine hasn’t mellowed yet.
I’ve just acquired it. First spray: Light Blue by Dolce&Gabbana, slightly spiced with a hint of coffee. As it dries, I still smell Light Blue but much more powdery. I expected something completely different, more fruity and sweet, although I had already read and heard that it is NOT a gourmand fragrance. In general, it’s powdery, talcum-like and spiced. Nothing dense or cloying. I’ll wait a few weeks to see how it develops.
What a delightful perfume. I bought it blind, letting myself be guided by what I saw online, and it was a total success. Sweet but not cloying at all (nor is it a gourmand fragrance); longevity is superbly acceptable on skin and infinite on clothes. It gives me vibes of a good, sweet and innocent girl who is sexy at the same time. In my opinion, it’s versatile, but I see it as more appropriate for women over 25, whether for work or a romantic date by candlelight. A real treat that I will definitely repurchase and it will stay in my collection.
I bought this perfume due to the hype at an exorbitant price that it doesn’t deserve. There are thousands of similar, better and much cheaper alternatives. Opinions are rarely read with the number of sprays in mind: two on each wrist, one on each arm, two behind each ear and two on the décolletage, meaning 12 sprays at 9:15 am. It’s 12:15 and it’s only barely perceptible at skin level if I press my wrist to my nose. In the end, the top notes last 15 minutes, an hour for the heart notes is enough… I care about my scent all morning. What I perceive now is a slightly woody amber. Do I like the scent? Yes, but not in this way where it’s barely noticeable at a price of €40. I find it insulting. I own more than 50 Arabian perfumes and this has the least sillage. As a reference, my skin pH is acidic; the fruity notes aren’t perceived and the sweet ones are emphasised.
I bought this purely on hype at a price that isn’t worth a penny. There are thousands of better and cheaper options. They rarely list the sprays, but I tested twelve: two on each wrist, one on each arm, two behind the ears, and two at the cleavage at nine twenty-five. It’s now quarter to twelve and it barely smells if I bring my wrist close to my nose. The top notes last fifteen minutes, the heart notes an hour, but I care about smelling good all morning. Now I only detect a woody amber. Do I like it? Yes, but not like this, almost non-existent at forty pounds. It sounds insulting. I own more than fifty Arab perfumes, and this is the one with the least sillage. My skin is acidic; the fruity notes don’t come through, and they only amplify the sweet ones.
I don’t understand the hype. I expected a roasted apple and caramel scent, but what I perceive is a very light apple, as if diluted with water, slightly sweet but not cloying, with a hint of spice. It feels unisex and quite Arabian. It’s not bad; I think it’s versatile, elegant and suitable for all seasons, but it’s not what I was looking for. I believe there are better and similar-scented fragrances available, and it’s not one of the more affordable Arab perfumes. I don’t see anything special about it; it’s pretty but it doesn’t kill me. Good longevity of 8 hours and moderate sillage. I recommend trying it before buying.
What a spectacular scent; I absolutely love it. It’s a shame that for an eau de parfum, the longevity is so poor, and to top it off, it’s not one of the cheaper options. I’m surprised Swiss Arabian has such poor fixation, as I own other fragrances from the brand that are absolute beasts, like Shaghaf Oud. I’ll try the Essense of Casablanca extract limited edition; I imagine it’s more concentrated and will improve the longevity. If it’s good, I think it will become one of my favourites.
It’s the kind of perfume that inspires elegance; I use it for special occasions. It’s not the scent I feel most identified with; for everyday wear, I’d feel more comfortable with other gourmands. It lasts a very long time on clothes, although not as much on my skin as other ones I use daily.
It feels as though someone dreamed of apple compote and caramel ice cream in a luxury hotel in Marrakech to create Casablanca. It’s a gourmand at its finest, yet has a unisex touch that feels slightly abrupt at first before settling perfectly. A total find from Swiss Arabian.
Someone must have thought of having an apple compote with caramel ice cream in a fancy hotel café in Marrakech, and that’s how Casablanca was born. It’s a very gourmand, but it has a marked unisex note that seems harsh at first but settles down very well afterwards. A total discovery from Swiss Arabian.
To properly appreciate a perfume, especially if it’s Arabic, I recommend spraying the new bottle ten times to let the air in, putting it back in the box, and leaving it to rest in a dark place for months. This way it ferments and improves the scent and longevity. This one is a delight: spectacular, sweet, gourmand but not cloying, rich and enveloping. It opens with caramel and alcohol; the alcohol fades quickly, highlighting the caramel which blends with baked caramelised apple. Then a beautiful suede note emerges with juicy black grapes and slightly smoky woods. Over time it becomes a bit powdery; note the iris, jasmine, a touch of patchouli, amber, vanilla and musk. It’s perfectly unisex; I love smelling it on men. Projects moderately well on skin and clothes; lasts eight hours on skin and many days on clothes. Ideal all year round except in the heat. Nice, minimalist bottle. Definitely try before you buy.
Want to smell like an elegant, empowered woman? This is the option! The fruits are barely noticeable; the balsamic, vanilla-touched note stands out a mile with deep vanilla and a hint of caramel. What a lovely perfume! Perfect for a fresh night out.
Smells lovely, but it’s a pity it doesn’t last even half an hour on the skin. I don’t see it as unisex at all; it sounds very feminine. The value for money is poor; it’s very expensive if it doesn’t smell like anything after ten minutes. It lasts a bit longer on clothes, but I won’t be buying it again as it’s throwing money away. It has the vibe of Mercadona’s Soiree, that soft and elegant feeling, but Mercadona’s version costs £10 and projects and lasts much longer.
