  1. Smells glorious: the berry opening is a real showstopper, leaving the scent floating like butterflies that everyone loves. However, the potency fades quickly and only that patchouli and cedar remain clinging to the skin. I don’t have the Mon Paris to compare it with, but it doesn’t last long. If you’re going to buy it, take a decant in your bag to reapply often.

  2. Gagos Parfum

It’s a delight, a sweet fruity fragrance where the raspberry takes centre stage. I adore it; it lasts for hours on the skin, doesn’t leave much of a trail, yet you can smell it all day. Ideal for women aged 30 to 40.

I bought it for the fresh, floral opening, but on my skin it smells more like an older lady. Not that it smells old, but it’s formal and elegant, suitable for work or conferences, nothing youthful (I’m 20), although it is pleasant. It’s noticeable as sweet, floral and citrusy, with notes of orange, raspberry and jasmine. It lasts about three or four hours with a moderate trail. If you’re looking for a gift for your mum, it’s a good option, ideal for spring or autumn. Many say it’s the perfect clone of the YSL Mon Paris and I agree.
