  1. A curious fragrance from Dueto Parfums, an attempt to modernise classic vetivers. It blends citrus, spices and woods, but its signature is the vetiver with a touch of elemi that adds sweetness. Ideal for daily wear in spring and summer, for those seeking fresh rather than dark vetiver like Encre Noire. It leans closer to Grey Vetiver, although Tom Ford’s has punchier citrus openings and a denser vetiver dry-down. Dueto’s, with its sweetness and less compact vetiver, makes it more unisex and accessible. The vetiver smells slightly synthetic (like almost everything these days), but it’s not poor quality. The longevity is good, lasting over seven or eight hours, with moderate to low sillage; it shows better if sprayed on clothes. I’m not a huge fan of vetiver, but I’ve enjoyed it more than I expected.
