Although cotton isn’t listed in the notes, you can feel it, whether as an ingredient or the final effect. It’s the best of Monegal and the most wearable option they have.

I grabbed a sample to dip my toes into the Ramón Monegal world, which, judging by everything I’ve read, makes for a good entry point. There’s a scent I can’t quite identify that gives me a bit of a turn-off, similar to Olympea by Parfums de Marly or My Burberry; at first, I thought it might be salty or that honey note I know I don’t like, but I don’t detect those, yet I do get that nauseous feeling, very quick but definitely there. It’s a shame because the listed notes, such as gardenia, rose, amber, and vanilla, are ones I enjoy, so I’ll try it at another time and keep exploring the brand.
