  Green that I want green 💚 This is how Coven by Andrea Maack begins, and this is how it feels instantly. The opening is a green punch: intense and wild, smelling of freshly cut grass, a damp forest, petrichor and stones wet from a waterfall. There is something very mineral, very natural, almost like pressing your nose to the ground after the rain. Over time, the perfume settles on the skin and a sweet, realistic, enveloping ivy emerges, marking the heart of the fragrance. Then, after a few hours, timid floral notes appear, gently accompanied by a vanilla-toned vetiver that adds warmth to the base. The final dry down leaves a very pleasant sensation: a creamy, soft, almost ethereal vetiver, yet that green base remains present. What truly stands out about Coven is its ability to evoke landscapes, sensations, images. It is not just a perfume; it is a complete scene: a damp, deep, solitary forest clearing. The fragrance has a clear, brave and very personal narrative. And that, nowadays, is much appreciated. In times when so many compositions feel the same, Coven dares to be different. It is an exercise in creativity with its own identity. It is not an easy-to-wear or versatile fragrance. I do not see it for every occasion. Rather, it is an olfactory experience for those seeking something distinct, a sensory connection rather than an accessory for going out. Ivy is the main protagonist here, more than the grass or the tropical forest. It has an astringent, stinging, very realistic edge. The name suits it perfectly: Coven evokes a coven, a ritual in full nature, with the mystery and power of the ancestral. It will not please everyone, but if it suits you, it leaves a mark.
