It’s a super feminine perfume, although I don’t usually assign gender to fragrances… but this one, I really struggle to imagine on a man. Perhaps it’s what it evokes: about twenty years ago, when I’d go to pubs and clubs with that tobacco smoke in the air, I was a frenetic young man in my mid-twenties who enjoyed long nights of partying. Every day I’d smell girls wearing potent, striking perfumes like Cacharel’s ‘Amour Amour’—very night-out and clubby, with a certain scent of roses mixed with smoke and a party girl’s sweat, something animalic and musky and utterly irresistible to me… I can’t quite describe it well, but if I smell this on a woman late into the early hours of the morning, it really turns my libido up 😁
