No madness here, this is another level entirely. Imagine one day deciding to mix cucumber, melon, and that distinct camphor-ball smell from wardrobes with plenty of mint, then covering it all with a forward-thinking rose gum that seems past its sell-by date and has gone oxidised. To keep them in the village, they added a fresh marine accord that yields to a more metallic freshness, which is the body along with the gum. I don’t know if it smells like being blind on an LSD trip in a bumper car with swirling fruit smoke, or like changing nappies in hell, but it’s not far off. It’s fascinating yet it makes my stomach turn. The price doesn’t invite adventure, even if the longevity is exceptional. I need a little more madness before I can commit.
