If Git from Creed and CW from Davidoff had grandchildren, Eau de Tsar would be one. It’s green, aromatic and aquatic like Cool Water, but with the depth of Green Irish Tweed. Just lighter, with sandalwood and lavender taking the lead. Something like that.
Simply exquisite. It opens fruity and spicy, drying to a green yet soft scent with a touch of cold spices. The sandalwood shines throughout, providing a mystical backdrop; together with the lavender, it’s fresh, light and full of personality for spring and summer. A lost gem. I picked it up for around $30. I see that younger people don’t really like this type of aroma. It pleases me, but I worry they might disappear. Enjoy them while they last. Fresh hugs.
At first, I detect pineapple, melon, undefined citrus and a green note, perhaps caraway. After five hours, lavender, vetiver and what I think is cardamomo. By eight hours, clinging to the skin, oakmoss and vetiver. At twelve hours, patchouli, sandalwood and a hint of cardamomo. It’s a soft, fruity version of Tsar, ideal for summer. Moderate trail but lasting 12 hours. It’s much more youthful than the original, less green and informal for daytime.
