Love at first sight! The opening is a citrus and spice bomb, packed with lemon, basil and rosemary, but you can already sense that balsamic, animalic base lurking beneath. Gradually, incense, opoponax, benzoin, labdanum and amber emerge. It’s a rich, dense scent with a vanilla sweetness that blends with the animal notes of civet and castoreum, leaving behind a very subtle, powdery floral touch. It’s intense, dark and super sexy, addictive and very unisex – perfect for cold weather and nights. I haven’t worn it in that setting yet, but I can imagine it would be a showstopper. Performance is good, and it smells like a mix between O’Driu’s Eva Kant and Francesca Bianchi’s Under My Skin. Scent: 9, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7, Value for money: 5, Versatility: 6, Originality: 9, Overall: 9.

Love at first sniff! I absolutely adore it. The opening is very intense, with a powerful citrus and spice charge: a strong lemon paired with basil and rosemary, but from the very start you can sense the balsamic, animalic base. Gradually, incense, opoponax, benzoin, labdanum and amber emerge. It’s a rich, dense aroma with a vanilla-enhanced sweetness. The blend gets a bit dirty with the animal touch of civet and castoreum; the floral aspect adds a light, powdery nuance, very subtle. It’s a rich, dense, intense, dark and very sexy perfume, addictive and highly unisex. Ideal for cold climates and night outs. It has good performance and reminds me of a mix between O’Driu’s Eva Kant and Francesca Bianchi’s Under My Skin. Scent: 9, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7, Value for money: 5, Versatility: 6, Originality: 9, Overall: 9.

And I keep sinning… This Erótic smells to me like a 2019 Opium (they aren’t alike, but they vibrate the same). On paper it smells stifling and animalic, but on skin it is nocturnal and elegant; the vanilla softens it with a very subtle touch of leather. I adore the amber and the subtle incense. It is dark and slightly smoky, yet always refined. It projects with confidence, certainty and power: the bergamot and lemon opening blends with rosemary and basil, almost like a fresh start, but it isn’t. It is pleasant, dense and sophisticated. I don’t detect the tuberose separately; it is very much blended with lavender, and yes, the patchouli arrives, slightly spicy in the heart. It has many facets; over time it takes on a powdery tone, the amber makes its way and everything softens in the base thanks to the vanilla, which clings to the skin for hours. I think the flowers just serve to round off and tame the harsher notes. Frankly, although Bocquet says they are unisex, most of them seem more feminine to me. They say perfumes smell animalic; here we have a black panther, curvy and with a glossy coat, ready for the night to hunt. A fierce one… Erótico.
