  Some perfumes seem to tell ancient stories, and this one recreates one of them perfectly. They say that in Ancient Egypt, at dawn, the temples filled with the sacred scent of Kyphi, a blend of resins, honey and spices offered to the gods to greet the rising sun. That same golden moment, when the Nile reflected the first light of day and the air smelled of offering and renewal, is what Eternal Sunrise tries to capture. From the very first note, the perfume rises like golden smoke: frankincense, resins, balsamic accords, with something solemn, almost mystical, before softening with styrax and tonka bean, as if the initial flame turns into a tranquil glow. The first time I wore it, I was enveloped in such a dense cloud of incense that I almost could touch it; it felt like stepping into an Egyptian temple. For an instant, I felt out of place… and yet, I couldn’t stop breathing in its mystery. After that first moment, it begins to settle, and then something almost magical happens: what was once a veil of smoke transforms into a gentle warmth, almost spiritual, as if the sun itself had stopped to rest upon my skin. It is astonishing that a perfume can encapsulate a time so distant as Ancient Egypt.
