December 2018: a very nice duo from Avon, perfect for mixing or wearing separately. I gravitated towards this Duet Sensual. Some say it smells like Angel, others like LVEB, but in my opinion it has nothing to do with either. To me, it recalls Coco Mademoiselle greatly: sweet with a fresh fruity note and a touch of pink pepper. The floral heart is subtle, between aquatic and transparent. What stands out most is the patchouli, fresh and green, not dense like in Chanel. Although the similarities are evident, it also reminded me of Narciso Rodriguez L’Eau. It fits well with modern chypres: elegant and versatile for any season, except very hot days. Longevity and sillage are moderate. It is not original in concept, but it smells wonderful.
Eve Duet Sensual by Avon, an EDP, stands out for its plum, sweetness and floral notes. It is more suited to winter than summer, warmer than its companion, and ideal for those over 25 years old. Its longevity is 3-4 hours, with moderate sillage and casual use.
So far, this is the one I have liked most from Avon. I adore it. I would love to see it released as a standalone fragrance to get the most out of it; I do not hesitate to buy it again, as Radiant is good but simply not for me.
I atomised it and immediately thought of Coco Mademoiselle, my signature scent which I know inside out. They do resemble each other, yes, but Chanel has its own distinct identity. I recommend this to those who cannot afford the original: it is an economical option, not identical, but with a clear family resemblance. That is how I perceived it.
