In its opening, saffron and aldehydes give way to a heart where pistachio, pieces of driftwood, and juniper share the stage. The trail settles on a base of oud wood, styrax, ambergris, vetiver, and nagarmota.

What a triumph! This perfumer really knows their stuff, honestly. Such a refined blend that you don’t detect individual notes, but rather a sweet and mysterious journey: sometimes almond, sometimes dark and woody with a hint of smoke. It’s almost like their take on Babycat—without copying the scent, but capturing the style, that constant sweet/dark balance. From wood to almond, from caramelised nuts to smoke, and suddenly a ray of saffron cuts through the mix like Fruit Ninja, leaving its trail between white and black as a mediator. Sorry, I’ve gone a bit off-track. Perhaps a full bottle might overwhelm me, but a 20ml bottle on offer could be interesting.
