  • It’s like being in a coastal village under a fig tree, with a bowl of ripe figs we peel and enjoy. All with a fresh, salty aroma from the aquatic notes and bergamot. It’s more a conception of that image than a realistic representation of the fig. Along with ‘Fico di Amalfi’, it’s one of the only two fig fragrances that satisfy me because they don’t overdo the sweetness thanks to the refreshing notes. I love the duality between the fig and the rough woody notes of the tree. A floral note appears to round off the composition and replace some of the initial saltiness. After 20 minutes, it becomes very aquatic, with little fig and more green. It’s a spring-summer fragrance, cheerful and totally unisex.

It comes across as vibrant but fleeting; the heart and dry-down are practically the same as CK One, with the difference being that this costs €20 and Fig Man €150. I bought it but never wore it again.

  • A marine and fresh summer fragrance due to its green opening, nothing new. Summer fragrances aren’t my favourites unless they stand out from the others.

  • It comes with that super natural, woody, and astringent fig scent, mixed with the fruit’s sweetness and a hint of saltiness reminiscent of the sea. This briny note gains strength as it dries down, leaving a woody-salty accord with a sweet touch. It doesn’t project much; you only catch it occasionally. Lasts about 4 hours in summer. I tested it over several days with a decant. Although I liked it, I can’t see myself wearing it; it smells like ‘elegant aftershave’ and is informal, ideal for any summer day or night that isn’t very formal. Since I don’t know many men’s fig fragrances and I adore that plant, I’d love to smell it on someone. I’d definitely buy it as a gift for a man who wears fresh perfumes.
