  1. A beautiful fragrance, powdery, sweet and fresh floral with a vintage touch; some might find it smells like an older lady, but I love it. It’s very refined and I liked it hugely despite buying it blind and rarely getting it right.

  2. I went to a Pharmaprix in Montreal and asked to try this Solinotes because of my love for iris. What a disappointment: it smells old, synthetic and just off. I was looking for something like Prada (I own all three flankers of L’Homme) and there was no comparison. Avoid it. It’s expensive, comes in a small amount, and I simply didn’t like the scent.

  3. A lovely fragrance, talc-like, sweet and fresh floral with a vintage touch. Some might say it smells like an older lady, but I enjoy it. It’s very refined; I bought it blind and rarely get it right, but this time I wasn’t wrong.

I’m not a fan of iris, but for my ‘Belinda’ persona, I wanted to use it. It’s a desert of butterfly scales where the dust is orris. I imagined shrines on the desert’s edge with this smoky, crunchy note. For Belinda, iris isn’t hygienic; it’s wild—the scent of caravans, soldiers and blood in war. A solar crown for the Queen of Butterflies. I’m excited to reconstruct Belinda with fragrances this Saturday.

  5. Smells exactly like the Prada one, but be careful: don’t buy it at Primaprix supermarkets as they have expired stock. What a disappointment.

  6. It’s identical to Prada’s, but if you get it at Primaprix, don’t bother, because they’ve got expired stock. What a letdown.

  7. I compared it with Prada’s Infusion d’Iris and they’re almost the same. This doesn’t last or project as well as Prada’s, which isn’t exactly a powerhouse either. Mine lasted five hours, three on skin. This Solinotes version lasts four hours and projects only in the first hour. If you have one, you don’t need the other. Replicating Solinotes smells exactly like Prada. I recommend it.

Beautiful iris with fresh, green facets, like grinding fresh grass and adding that soapy, talc-like touch. It reminds me of Prada L’Homme, with touches of Dior Homme but fresher and more elegant, clean strokes and great longevity. Definitely unisex. I’ll launch a campaign to compare the whole line and add them to my collection. Some friends say it’s half Tommy Hilfiger Pour Homme and half Dior Homme, well blended.
