  It’s the most standard of the four colognes in the line; it smells like a classic cologne. It has the worst performance and longevity, lasting less than two hours on my skin. The aroma is similar to a lemon baby cologne or slightly softer than Andre Latour’s La Franco cologne. Nothing special, it just smells of lemon, classic English cologne. Poor longevity and weak sillage; the worst of the three. I’m not saying it’s bad, but given how unique the others are, I expected more.

  I discovered this fragrance thanks to Carlos Rubio. Ideal for those who love orange and orange blossom; I don’t detect the fig or incense, just citrus and cedar. Performance is that of an eau de toilette, not bad for a cologne. Good scent, totally unisex. As they’re being discontinued, it can be found at a good price. It’s a small niche house that only released five perfumes; I’m curious about the other four.

  If you like Candy Candy 40… I WAS THE ONE WHO RECOMMENDED THEM TO CARLOS RUBIO. My username is camalotecosmico. He mentioned buying them in mid-2019 or early 2020; in the video he talks about Argentina and MercadoLibre, referring to me. I bought Cuir Iris and Bois de Cedre Petitgrain on MercadoLibre in 2019 for 1,500 pesos each, 200ml bottles. They’ve since gone up in price and are no longer available. I recommend Cuir Iris; the quality is brutal.

  Very citrusy, fresh and clean; like a Nenuco for adults, but more mature. Longevity and projection are moderate. There are many similar ones, but for the price, it’s one of the best options. Totally unisex and neutral.

  Be warned: this isn’t a micro-enterprise; the YouTube world makes everything they say spread like gunpowder. I’ve fallen for that ‘I know it all’ effect myself. The reality is that L’Atelier des Bois de Grasse (Arthes Group) manufactured these colognes. Arthes is a giant with their own plantations in Grasse and top-tier perfumers, famous for Jeanne Arthes. This line of five unisex colognes is of extremely high quality, with incredible sillage and longevity, original and unconventional. It’s a pity they’re discontinued and no longer available. They completely won me over, and I still can’t decide which is my favourite; they’re all wonderful. If I had to choose one, it would be Cuir se Iris. Fleur d’Oranger Baie Rose is refreshing, with equal parts bergamot, ginger and mandarin; it’s aromatic, woody and ambered. The fig and incense aren’t noticeable, and the musk isn’t there (thank goodness). They categorise it as floral, but for me, it’s an aromatic citrus. It’s super summery and elegant. Buy blind, you won’t regret it.

  A fresh citrus cologne, but with a super-alcoholic dry down; it’s not even close to being a niche scent. The quality is non-existent, lasting barely two hours at most. Any Alvárez Gómez is a thousand times better, so look carefully before buying.
