The composition was created by perfumer Sofia Bardelli. Juniper berries, pink pepper, grapefruit, mandarin, ginger, elemi and an ice note form the top; sandalwood, rhubarb, citron and pear sit at the heart; and Virginia cedar, vetiver, amber and musk make up the base.
Green Ice balances its contrasts with a well-judged hand. The main accords are aromatic, citrus, woody, fresh spicy, fresh, fruity, powdery, sweet, musky and green. This keeps the fragrance lively without losing a sense of polish.
The start is crisp and sparkling. Juniper and pink pepper give a gentle spice, grapefruit and mandarin add zest, and ginger with elemi push the energy further. The ice note is a clever touch: it imparts a cool, almost mineral transparency rather than a watery effect.
