Gucci Bloom Parfum by Gucci

Has no one reviewed Gucci Bloom Parfum yet? Here goes the first (with surprise)! I confess: I’m a declared groupie of Alberto Morillas. If he signs it, I dive in headfirst. With this new Bloom Parfum, the master has done it again. Apparently, it’s just another flanker; I know there are so many that one doesn’t know which is which, but this one has a trick. It has left me thinking. Yes, we’re still in the same Bloom universe: jasmine, night blooming jasmine and neroli in all its splendour. A festival of white flowers that makes those of us who grew up smelling perfumes with body and soul vibrate. But there’s something more here. Something unexpected. Something spicy. I ask: has anyone else noticed that exotic, very spiced opening that seems like cardamom? It’s not in the official pyramid or the card, but I smell it. It’s not a ‘I imagine it’; it gives me an olfactory shiver the moment I spray it. As if Morillas has left us a secret note, a little puzzle for the fanatics. And at the end of it all, bam! comes the vanilla. Yes, the omnipresent vanilla that now invades everything, but here it’s integrated with elegance. It doesn’t cover the flowers; it caresses them, envelops them, clothes them in velvet. So for those of us who miss perfumery with character but are also seduced by the new, this Bloom Parfum is a bridge between two worlds. A white floral with a warm base, a surprising spicy opening and, perhaps, a ghost note. Is Morillas playing hide-and-seek with us? Am I… or is there cardamom in this story? I await your comments, curious noses.

A beautiful perfume; I absolutely loved it. At first, I sensed something odd, very spiced, as if there were cinnamon (though I don’t see it listed as an official note), followed by rich neroli. It’s elegant, feminine, and suitable for all seasons; I believe it suits those over 30 particularly well. It lasted about six hours on my skin, although I’ll have to reapply to confirm. I tested it at ULTA in the USA and hope to buy it soon. Highly recommended. Edit: A few days later, I realised its longevity is between three and six hours.

When I tested it, I was surprised. I hadn’t liked any Bloom before, but this is on another level. It’s class, elegance, sensuality and quality. Although I won’t admit it, I sense a hint of cinnamon very low down, blending with the rest. When it dries down, it leaves a delicious dark vanilla. It’s cosy, different and addictive. I regret buying the 50ml bottle as I’m going to finish it too quickly. It’s a delight that must be tried and admired.

It’s the most nocturnal and cool Gucci Bloom I’ve tried. I picked it up to test the Peru balsam, which I already knew from men’s scents like Givenchy El Gentleman. I think it’s that note that surprises everyone here.
