  I’ve just started wearing this and here are my initial impressions: 1. It’s not for everyone. 2. It’s disruptive. 3. It’s unisex. 4. If you’re a man who doesn’t like roses, it’s not for you. 5. It’s like wearing a potpourri on your skin. The concept is clear: to be one of those memorable perfumes, perfect for your own enjoyment and that of those around you. When I mention potpourri (that mix of dried flowers and spices used to scent rooms), I’m referring to that spiced floral sensation on the skin. Many will say it smells old-fashioned, but no; if you know how to distinguish scents, you’ll see it’s a beautifully carried spiced rose. We could mention pear and woody notes, but the standout is undoubtedly the rose. In my opinion, it’s a very European, almost British fragrance. British scents often play heavily with florals and musk, creating a ‘attacked’ feel, but here the trail is merely adorned, as the opening is a sweet, nibbled rose that, over time, settles into an aromatic rose that clings to your skin. I wore it in the heat and must say the trail didn’t fade on me. It’s a long-lasting perfume, and for women, I believe you can get a lot out of it in spring. Recommended attire: whites, blues, and pinks. Formal shirts, suits, blazers, and plain polos. Nothing sporty, nothing casual. A very European and British cut.
