A beautiful, super fresh fragrance that smells luxurious, although the bottle felt a bit lightweight, perhaps because it’s made of aluminium.
Beautiful fragrance, very fresh and smells expensive. The only downside is the bottle felt a bit empty, perhaps because it’s so light being made of aluminium.
I read reviews where everyone talks about oud, cardamom and such, but honestly, what I smell is leather and an animal note akin to horse sweat. I’m not saying it’s bad; on the contrary, I love leather scents, but I just don’t detect that woodiness so strongly.
Arabians is that classic Middle Eastern blend of rose and oud, but with a twist that makes it incredibly cosy and sophisticated. Without a doubt, it’s the fragrance in my collection that screams luxury. Its longevity on the skin is brilliant, perfect for special events in cold weather or enclosed spaces. You really need a formal outfit to do it justice. As it dries down, notes of leather and smoke bring to mind elegant salons with leather armchairs, a fine table, and a crystal ashtray.
Arabians is a classic blend of rose and Middle Eastern oud, but with a twist that makes it cosy and sophisticated. Without a doubt, it is the fragrance in my collection that most evokes luxury. Its longevity on the skin is notable, ideal for special occasions in the cold or controlled environments. It calls for formal attire. As it dries down, notes of leather and smoke bring to mind elegant salons with leather armchairs, fine tableware and a crystal ashtray.
I’ve tried decants of Arabic perfumes with oud and recognise it as a heavy scent, but I like it; I don’t see it as a daily signature, but if I’m in the mood for oud, Arabians seems more refined, elegant and versatile than other Arabic scents. The drawback is that it fades quickly and on my skin doesn’t last more than four hours, quite close to the skin. Although discreet, I enjoy it more than others which are monsters in terms of projection and longevity. I see it well on fresh or cold days and for formal events or the office, as it isn’t too intrusive. I bought the 20 ml bottle blind, perhaps thinking of gifting it to my partner as it is very masculine, but fortunately, although it leans that way at first, I find it very pleasant for women who enjoy oud, so it stays with me.
At first, you detect spices and cardamom, something medicinal and decongestant, pleasant and masculine. Over time, the spices and masculinity soften and it becomes more unisex. You can detect patchouli, so I wouldn’t recommend it to those who dislike it. It doesn’t smell dirty; the leather is clean. I liked it, but I feel it is more masculine unisex. I would have hoped it paid better homage to the Arabian horse, with a more potent leather and animal notes. Horse lovers recognise that addictive and memorable scent worthy of representation. Here I only perceive the ‘Arabic’ concept, but not the ‘Arabian horse’ that this perfume sought to represent as the king of the East.

@Atalcadita Smells like oud wood, and mind you, it’s not pure gold. In the end, I think the oud scent isn’t your strong point.
I tried it in store and it only smells like poorly tanned leather and dirt.

Sometimes it smells like soap, other times very woody. Suddenly it reminds me of the opening of Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud Intense. As it dries down, it feels drier than Arabians, very masculine, ufff, it’s intoxicating. The notes come out in constant bursts, everything changes, sometimes one dominates, then another. If you don’t like oud, this isn’t for you. It’s not a universal hit due to that medicinal-ochre-bitter facet that doesn’t hook many. It doesn’t have that legendary projection and longevity of Fragrantica, it’s more moderate, but the final result is sensational. A perfume with great personality, regal and full of character.
