A brilliant perfume from start to finish. I bought it from an online perfumerie and they gifted me samples of II (Deux) and Olim by Cire Trudon, a brand I hadn’t encountered before. After trying II (Deux), I added it to my wishlist until I could finally purchase the bottle. It smells very similar to Philosykos and Ichnussa; indeed, some people already compare it to the former. It’s a fig leaf scent, yet not as soft as Diptyque’s nor as creamy as Profumum’s; it’s slightly more astringent and wild, though still very pleasant. The fig note persists throughout the perfume’s life, and when the other notes emerge, it transforms into a woody accord with that green touch, which is only very, very subtly sweetened by the ambroxan base. The longevity is relatively impressive, lasting around 7-8 hours in spring with temperatures between 20 and 30°C. For me, it’s a discovery—a fine perfume for spring, though it also works well at the end of winter or the beginning of summer, even on cool evenings. Summer hasn’t arrived yet to test it with our sun-loving skin, but it will. It’s a mature fragrance that projects well for the first two hours and creates an aura of serenity; it’s very relaxing to wear.
