What really grabs me is that patchouli with a touch of camphor, blended with a super-green vetiver and a vanilla trail. Like with Angel Muse, the cocoa comes out beneath the patchouli, though here I tolerate it better as it’s not as sharp as in Mugler. It feels green due to the vetiver and is addictive, perfect for winter or fresh springs. What a pity no one talks about this Italian natural perfumery; they have top fragrances at excellent prices.

What I detect most is a highly camphorated patchouli, with a green vetiver and a hint of vanilla. It happens to me as with Angel Muse: I do not detect the cocoa because the patchouli masks it. Although for me this is easier and more pleasant to wear than Angel Muse, whose patchouli is more piercing. It feels green due to the vetiver and is addictive, ideal for winter or mild spring days. It is a pity that this Italian natural perfumery is hardly spoken of; it has good fragrances at an excellent price.

I received it in an exchange and tested it across different seasons, but ultimately returned it. I never quite understood it: the first time it smelled of violet and something like melted cola, other times of camphorated patchouli. I never noticed chocolate or cocoa. Its longevity and sillage are moderate, and it fits no genre or occasion; it seems more like a work of art or a failed experiment than a daily wear. I never liked it, but I acknowledge it’s interesting. Pleasant: 4/10 Interesting: 8/10 Versatile: ?/10 Original: 8/10

When I like a note, I love it to have many nuances and blend well. The patchouli in Indaco is very present but gentle and creamy; it has earthy, camphorated and herbal touches, though what stands out is a chocolatey aspect amplified by bitter cocoa with a powdery hint. It smells almost nothing else, except at the start when it is more cheerful and sparkling. It is not sweet as the notes suggest. It has moderate sillage and lasts 6–7 hours on skin, leaving a rich scent on clothes noticeable the next day. It is unisex, winter-appropriate and only for those who love patchouli in large doses. Although I am one of them and liked it, I probably won’t repurchase once I finish it because, in my search for the perfect patchouli, it hasn’t won my heart (I usually prefer it in sweeter versions). I admit it is very original. I find nothing in common with Black Orchid, Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford or Angel Muse by Mugler. Scent 6/10, Longevity 6.5/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 7/10, Versatility 5/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? Probably not.

When I like a note, I want to feel it in all the chords and nuances, and patchouli is my favourite note. In Indaco it dominates a lot, but it’s kind and creamy. It has earthy, camphorated, and herbal touches, but what shines is the chocolatey aspect boosted by bitter cocoa with a powdery hint. It smells of nothing else, except in the opening, which is cheerful and sparkling. It’s not sweet as the notes suggest. Sillage is moderate and lasts 6-7 hours on skin, leaving a rich scent on clothes that lingers the next day. It’s totally unisex, eminently winterly, and only for lovers of big patchouli. Although I am a woman and liked it, I won’t repurchase because in my search for the perfect patchouli it didn’t steal my heart (I usually prefer it in sweeter versions). It’s very original, but has nothing to do with Black Orchid, Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford, or Angel Muse by Mugler. I believe this is one of the finest sweet chocolate fragrances I own. It smells of powdered chocolate, sweet yet not overpowering; the patchouli adds creaminess while the vanilla balances the flavour. If you enjoy soft, non-dense gourmand scents, you simply cannot miss trying it.
