Ambered with subtle and elegant tonka bean. Discreet, pleasant and enveloping. It brings a naturally tempered warmth, sweet but not overpowering, like a cappuccino in winter. Now that tonka bean is in fashion, this Prada classic returns with force, with an ambered and medicinal-sweet profile.

I love it! It starts green, ambered, and with fresh patchouli. Then what I detect most is the benzoin, very pleasant and uncommon, with non-sweet honey notes and fresh woods. The only thing that doesn’t fascinate me is that I’d like it to last longer; on me it lasts about 4 hours. It’s a fresh oriental type, non-invasive, and although many say it’s not recommended for daily wear or the office, as it’s not sharp or beastly, it can be worn without major issues. An aroma outside the mainstream.

A well-crafted and elegant oriental. It presents a powerful opening with a host of notes wandering on the skin; then they settle and leave a very natural, aromatic and medicinal patchouli scent, accompanied by a powerful ambered broom that gives it lots of warmth. Perfect to wear with cool temperatures, both day and night, on a woman or man (I note it’s unisex), elegant and stylish. It clashes completely with informal or sporty styles. Its scent is natural. I perceive a certain touch of honeyed pollen, but it’s very soft, giving it a sweet character as the hours pass. The perfume is well-made, natural, and has French-inspired reminiscences, which they love in their patchouli perfumes. Try before you buy. It doesn’t suit everyone; it does suit classic men and women with a certain liberal character. It’s a young and subtle oriental offering rejuvenated amber. For patchouli lovers.

Prada Amber Ed.Luxe is gorgeous, elegant and original. From the first moment I notice its signature; Prada makes magnificent perfumes and this is one of them. Perhaps that is why it was perfume of the year. Its originality and different scent stand out in a repetitive market. Can you make an elegant perfume that smells of carrot? Yes, Prada did. I analysed the overall scent for weeks and the key is: it smells of carrot. Not everyone notices, but some do. The opening is green, fresh, juicy and slightly fruity. It is sweet, but due to the resins, the amber, some honey and fruits. I do not detect sandalwood, although I can smell it from miles away. Its patchouli, the star, on the skin is fine, addictive but light. Everything forms a delicious combination: a freshly peeled carrot with a dash of patchouli. It might repel others, so try before buying. Sometimes it gives a weak white chocolate tone on my skin. Compared to Coromandel, this is more masculine, with more chocolate and gourmand notes, whereas Sycomore is vetiver. They are very different; each skin accentuates the components. For me, Prada Amber is extremely feminine, disciplined and sparkly for smelling different. My best clean and sweet patchouli. The longevity is not bad and the trail is excellent, although sometimes it stays more blended; you always note its effluvia and I smell Prada from head to toe, which I love.

Strong and powerful aroma, very long-lasting. Patchouli and amber stand out with a touch of cocoa or chocolate. A very sweet fragrance that reminds me a lot of Flowerbomb and has an air of Angel.

It’s a perfume for a woman with character, capable of mastering it. It’s impetuous, imposing, the master of the stage. You need to know how to wear it. That’s probably what makes it so fascinating. I use it and recommend it.

To be honest, I tried to like this Prada; I read the notes and thought it would be fabulous, even testing it on my skin. I enjoy woody oriental scents. The opening is pleasing, lasts a few minutes and I like it, but once it dries on my skin the charm disappears, even though the base notes are good. It must be that blessed chemistry between my skin and the fragrance that didn’t click, leaving only something unpleasant on me. Anyway, for now, there it is; I’m not sure if I should give it another chance on colder days. The fragrance is good for those who like amber.
