  I’ve tried several Tom Ford fragrances, and this Japon Noir is undoubtedly the worst. Sometimes a great perfume just isn’t for you or doesn’t suit your skin, and this is neither for me nor does it sit well on my skin. It starts with a green note, but once the amber kicks in almost immediately, it becomes sweet and ambered, though very sparingly, which would have suited it better. After half an hour, or perhaps an hour, as it doesn’t last longer on the skin or even close to it, all I notice is a hint of patchouli, bergamot, and that amber which lingers more noticeably throughout the fragrance’s life, but as I said, on my skin it’s seen and unseen. There isn’t a single note that stands out over the others in any notable way. The trail is very poor, and on my skin it hasn’t lasted more than an hour. Definitely, Japon Noir wasn’t made for me.
