This Diorling by Dior, of course, isn’t quite the vintage, but what a beauty. It stays so true to its era that, although it’s light, when it embraces you, you simply die of delight. I adore that soft floral blend with patchouli and that very Dior leather note, which leans towards the sentimental and fussy; that rather kitschy way of making you wear a leather perfume absolutely blows my mind. Dior lately is my sanctuary; at least for now, they aren’t changing all the bottles en masse to homogenise them and strip away the essence… Can you imagine if they took the bottles off Poison, Dune, and Addict and gave them all the same one? Yes, I confess: I’m a consummate ritualist.
