At first, it seemed synthetic and short-lived, but after 45 days it has oxidised beautifully and now lasts a treat. The scent is friendly: strong at first but not overwhelming, with an urge to sniff it again from the very first second. It isn’t that sweet, modern scent everyone loves, but something more formal with a sweet base, a very subtle floral touch and a soft leather note that is simply enchanting. I loved it from the first drop, but today it’s my favourite. I wear it during the day with just a few sprays and at night with the crisp autumn chill, where it performs exceptionally well. It has good projection at the start, then settles into a one-metre bubble, present but not invasive after half an hour. Ideal for temperate or cold climates. I recommend it with patience until it settles; I’m sure I’ll be buying another bottle when this one runs out.
