  I’m buying blind, hoping it resembles the vintage Opium, that one I love so much and which is so expensive. This house promises incredible quality at an accessible price. Thanks to a reviewer, I already have the Kashmir, a spectacular chypre with amazing longevity and sillage; I adore it! Others speak highly of other Milton Lloyd perfumes too, so I hope someone tries this one and writes their opinion; I’d be so grateful. It currently has 44 votes and a 4.23 out of five, so people know and like it, but I’m left wondering if it might be a clone of the vintage. If no one reviews it, I’ll report on it myself. Come on, I need your opinion!

  In the end, I gave in to curiosity and trusted the notes, what a mistake! I don’t recall if it ever resembled Opium, but today it is a total failure: neither like my vintage bottle nor the current one. I’m not just recalling memories; I’m comparing them properly, and the difference is brutal. From the first spray, it’s clear they have nothing in common; this smells shrill, heavy, acidic, and bitter. It’s a cheap and terrible perfume, plus it lasts forever, which makes it a nightmare. I wouldn’t even recommend it as a room freshener; it’s repulsive. Don’t be fooled by false expectations or throw your money away; this is a disaster. The original Opium is unique; anything else will be a disappointment and a waste of cash.
