Starts super citrusy with flowers in the background and the coriander gives it a unique touch. Sometimes it smells a bit medicinal, but it is very addictive. It then settles with benzoin and vanilla, though you still notice the initial citrus. As it dries down, the heliotrope makes it more powdery and talcum-like, giving it a more feminine air than at the start or in the heart. It has incredible longevity and projection. I see it as unisex: the first two phases are more masculine and the dry-down is more feminine. I think it suits cooler weather best due to its depth, but it can also work well in temperate climates.
Starts with a citrus and floral touch, where the coriander gives it a special edge. Sometimes it smells a bit medicinal, but it’s highly addictive. An excellent fragrance from Laboratoire Olfactif and perhaps one of my favourites from Cecile Zarokian, which is no small feat, given she is the creator of highly relevant modern perfumes such as Tango by Masque Milano, Private Label by Jovoy Paris, and has recently been signed for the relaunch of the Jacques Fath line. It is quite original: it is citrusy but not as we know it, as those citrus notes are thoroughly blended with the rest. What stands out most to me is the balsamic note of benzoin, the patchouli, very characteristic of her work, and a powdery floral note that suits her perfectly, I believe it is heliotrope. For me, although it is difficult to classify, it is a semi-sweet balsamic fragrance with a powdery-floral touch, which at times approaches gourmand and finishes with a balsamic dry-down. It is complex, very well blended, original and totally unisex, but the important thing is that it smells wonderful and is elegant. The longevity is moderate-to-high, without exaggeration (around 7-8 hours, even more) and the sillage is moderate. Very interesting!
A top fragrance from Laboratorio Olfattivo and one of the best from Cecile Zarokian, the author of hits like Tango by Masque Milano. It is very original: it seems citrusy but isn’t, because the citrus blends with everything. What grabs me most is the balsamic benzoin, her signature patchouli, and a powdery flower, heliotrope, which suits her perfectly. It is a semi-sweet balsamic, powdery-floral scent, sometimes gourmand, and ends balsamic. Complex, well-blended, original, and unisex, but the important thing is that it smells great and is elegant. The longevity is moderate-to-high, around 7-8 hours, with moderate sillage. Very interesting.
Indeed, it smells very similar to Shalimar and I have loved it. The opening is super citrusy, with lots of orange blossom and a touch of lavender that calms it and prevents it from being too strident. As it dries down, what I notice most is the heliotrope, vanilla and benzoin, giving it that powdery touch that makes it very feminine, although it remains unisex. Although the notes say patchouli, I don’t really smell it here. I see it as ideal for in-between weather, neither too cold nor too hot. The longevity is very high. I have liked it very much, although it doesn’t quite overshadow Shalimar.
It is true that it smells like Shalimar, but with much more force. It begins very citrusy with lots of orange blossom and a touch of lavender that calms it down and prevents it from being strident. As it dries, heliotrope, vanilla, and benzoin dominate, giving it that powdery touch that is very feminine, although it is totally unisex. I don’t detect as much patchouli as in the description. Ideal for transition days, neither too cold nor too hot. The longevity is brutal. I loved it, although it doesn’t surpass Shalimar.
Kashnoir was lingering, the notes hooked me instantly, and I managed to secure a 10ml decant. If I had known how much I would delight in it, I would have bought 50ml, and I now know it will be a bottle. Honestly, it’s a fragrance that kicks countless scents to the curb with double the price tag. It’s intoxicating. Even for a novice, the quality of the citrus and a custom blend evolving into florals and benzoin are noticeable. Without fear of being wrong, it’s the ‘citrus’ I was looking for, sparkling at the start and seductive/intoxicating at the end. It’s not long-lasting; the maximum on my skin is over 12 hours. A 10 out of 10.
