I’m venturing into my first review of Kurky. I tried it thanks to the generosity of Cristina, a fellow enthusiast, and I’m very grateful as I was planning to buy it blind. She confirmed what everyone else has said negatively: the projection. It smells nice if it reaches that nostalgic point of fruit sweet, musky, and delicate. It lasts quite a while, especially on clothes; I wore it at 9am and it’s 7pm now with some bursts, though it’s residual. The first two or three hours are noticeable, afterwards it stays close to the skin and only scents when you move. If it cost 60€, good, maybe I’d consider it; it’s pleasant for spring-summer, but at that price… no sorry, I’d rather invest in another perfume.
To me, it’s a very tender fragrance. It does evoke childhood memories, sweets, and something fruity that’s more abstract than defined (I didn’t notice much raspberry or peach). It’s a lovely scent, but I find it very versatile; I’m not sure what situation it suits or who would wear it. On top of that, it doesn’t last long. Perhaps I’d prefer it as a candle or air freshener scent rather than a perfume for a person. All in all, it’s a pretty creation.
Nuripecor: I share their opinion; I have the same sensations. I tried it twice and it’s rich for me (I love the peach), but the price isn’t worth it, to be honest… for me, this is a blatant scam. Do they think that because it’s niche they have the right to pull this? Lately, I’m tired of these houses. If they applied it blindfolded and then said it was from Mercadona, from the “comotú” section for 20€ or less, I’d believe it.
Smells like a macedonia of fruit syrup and sweets, yet with a sophisticated touch that even Chanel lacks. It blends refined elegance with the tenderness of a pacifier’s blackberry scent. It carries that luminous, musky signature of Kurkdjian that makes everything he creates so wearable and desirable. There’s an aura of minimalist, subtle, and constant fruity sweetness here. “Kurky” recalls little Kurkdjian as a child sucking on fruit gummies. It’s an evocative and nostalgic fragrance, incredibly tender throughout. Imagine the laughter of children on a summer afternoon by the pool.
