  • I went to Primor to look for Le Male Elixir but they didn’t have it, so I tried this Pride instead. It’s a very neroli and jasmine scent with a touch of neutral bar soap. Nothing more; it’s for going in an immaculate shirt. Very ordinary, no surprises.

  • This 2023 Pride edition of Le Male is back with the same notes as last year and perfumers Natalie Gracia-Cetto and Quentin Bisch. It’s a joy that one of the brand’s best surprises in years gets a second life, even if it only changes the T-shirt on the classic bust. It’s unisex, with a very pleasant and non-pungent citrus opening. Quickly, the musk and white woods are noticeable, giving it a creamy, almost milky touch. It’s fine, good, and addictive; spring and summer suit it perfectly. For me, it’s a must-have for JPG. It lasts about 5 or 6 hours on my skin with a decent projection, which is fine. If you missed it last year or were unsure, buy it without fear. It’s a winning bet for summer and stands out from typical citrus scents.

  • I’m continuing my habit of collecting Le Male editions, though this third Pride Collector has left me cold. The blend of yuzu, neroli, and jasmine over that synthetic musk reminds me too much of the 2022 edition: it smells like wet and dry clothes with ambroxan, just like One Million Lucky or Invictus Platinum. Disappointing, as the first edition with the colourful bottle did please me. Sometimes it’s better to go for something safe than to risk it with quick launches.

  • Top contender for worst fragrance of 2023: a total letdown. As soon as I applied it, I knew it wasn’t what I was looking for. Instead of something pleasant, I encountered a super synthetic and unpleasant blend. The initial impression was overwhelming and quickly became unbearable; sharp, fake citrus notes clashed without achieving any harmony. Rather than freshness, it left an irritating trail. Furthermore, the longevity was a disaster: although it started strong, it vanished in a heartbeat, leaving me wondering if I’d even applied anything. It fails to meet expectations and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Its poor scent and lack of staying power make it a bad choice. Better to try other things that delight and reflect your personality.

  • A top contender for the WORST fragrance of 2023, by far: it was a true disappointment. From the moment I applied it, it was clear it wasn’t what I expected. Instead of something pleasant, I found a super synthetic and unpleasant blend. The first impression was overwhelming and quickly unbearable. Piercing and synthetic citrus notes clashed in a discordant symphony that never harmonised. Instead of refreshing, it left an unpleasant trail. Furthermore, longevity was another disappointment: although the initial intensity was overwhelming, it faded quickly, leaving me wondering if I had applied anything at all. Overall, it didn’t meet my expectations and I absolutely do not recommend it. Its unpleasant scent and lack of longevity make it a poor choice. It’s better to explore other options that delight the senses.

  • I gifted it to my husband, as whenever he could he wore it in perfumeries. I must say it’s not bad at all, nor does it have poor projection; it smells very good and lasts. I thought the opposite before buying it for him, but when he wears it every day, it becomes more endearing, a very pleasant scent. Those who say it smells of sweat are referring to the 2022 edition, but this one from this year is nothing like that; it smells clean.

  • I gifted it to my husband, as whenever he could, he would go to the perfumeries. I must say it’s not bad at all: good projection, smells very nice and lasts. I thought the opposite before buying it for him, but when he wears it every day, it becomes more endearing, a very pleasant scent. Those who say it smells like sweat… the 2022 edition did have that sensation, but this year’s edition definitely does not, as it smells clean.

  • Personally, I’ve liked it a lot. It has an orange blossom scent but leaning more towards bitter orange blossom. I think it’s a unisex fragrance that gives that impression of cleanliness that white flowers give, with the orange blossom touching on the soapy side, mixed with juicy yuzu. I’ve liked it, it has good longevity and trail, and I think it’s great to take to the gym.

  • I saw it by chance a few weeks ago, tried it out of curiosity and liked it. The thing is, on the paper it seemed very feminine when it dried. Yesterday I saw it again at a good price, in 125ml, so I tried it on my skin again and ended up buying it. It has a rich, energetic citrus opening; I sense an acidic, juicy mandarin. Then the effervescence of the opening calms down, staying in the background and becoming more floral and luminous. Several critics mention the potency or longevity, but for me it’s a citrus bomb that mutates into floral and is quite potent. Let’s see how it fares in Argentine summer. The can design is fine, but the T-shirt on the torso looks ugly to me; perhaps I’ll remove it and keep the silver torso. Given the price and that it’s hard to find online, I consider it a good purchase.

I feel it like a citrus bomb that mutates into floral, and by bomb I mean it’s quite potent. Let’s see how it fares in the Argentine summer. The tin design looks nice but the torso shirt seems a bit rubbish xD. Maybe I’ll take it off and keep the silver torso. Given the price and the difficulty of finding it online, I consider it a good acquisition.

  • Jean Paul Gaultier – Le Male Pride. It’s a bold fragrance that celebrates a modern and energetic spirit. Its distinctive aroma is ideal for those who want to stand out with freshness and sensuality. It begins with a vibrant, fresh and revitalising blend, giving a warm and enveloping sensation for a lasting presence. Moderate price. Caution: it can be intense if over-applied, so better to use moderately. Scent: 7.5/10 – Fresh, spicy, sweet, warm. Longevity: 7.5/10 – Moderate, perfect for the day. Projection: 8/10 – Moderate, reaches far without overwhelming. Conclusion: It combines freshness and warmth with a unique character. It’s perfect for those seeking presence and style. Considered. It has positive aspects and is a valid option, although it might not stand out in every situation.

Ideal for warm climates, it has almost the same scent as the 2022 version, but this one is less intense, lasts less and projects much less; you don’t smell the citrus as much, although the neroli and orange blossom do give it a very pleasant touch and convey peace. A good flanker, different from the other JPG scents.

  • Exquisite. Don’t be guided by the notes because it’s not a common cologne; it’s a proper perfumazo. It conveys refinement and warmth from a fresh place. A high-quality find.

I don’t understand the hate; could it be old, grumpy and homophobic people? The perfume is beautiful. I bought the Le Male version because it comes in 125ml and is more economical than the Classique Pride (they are the same scent). Upon spraying, it smells of acidic green mandarin and orange blossom with a soft sweetness; on the skin, it leaves a mentholated touch (my mum finds it super sweet). Then the acidic and mentholated notes fade, leaving a clean, musky, and subdued floral nuance. The musk gives it body, though I don’t detect any woods. The longevity is beastly for a citrus: I applied it at 3pm and by 2am it was still close to my skin. My mum wore it and left a lovely trail everywhere. It’s totally unisex and will stand out in spring and summer. If you like Light Blue, I Love Love by Moschino, Citrus Cedrat or Hermès Jardin de Citron, you’ll adore it. I’m in love, 10/10.

I don’t understand the hatred this perfume has. Could it be the grumpy, homophobic types who are opining? Seriously, it’s beautiful. I bought the Le Male version because it comes in 125ml and is cheaper than the Classique Pride (it’s the same scent in two presentations). At first, it smells of acidic green mandarin and jasmine flower, with a soft, enveloping sweetness that on my skin ends up a bit mentholated (my mum says it smells super sweet). Then the acidity and menthol fade, leaving a clean, musky nuance with the mandarin and floral notes lower down. The musk gives it body, though I don’t sense woods. The longevity is beastly for a citrus EDT: I sprayed it at 3pm and it’s 2am and I still have it close to my skin on my wrist. My mum perfumed herself several times and left a good trail in all the shops. It’s totally unisex and stands out in spring-summer. If you like Light Blue, I Love Love by Moschino, Citrus Cedro, or the lemon scent by Hermès, you’ll love it. It’s a safe purchase. I’m in love, 10/10.

  • I don’t understand the hate for this fragrance. It’s simply enchanting and very different from what’s currently trendy in perfumery. I tried it in a department store and was intrigued; it lasted for hours. I now have three bottles because it became one of my favourites: it smells incredible, very clean, lasts a long time, isn’t overpowering, and despite being unisex, it has brought me countless compliments.

I’ve bought three bottles because it became one of my favourites: it smells incredible, very clean, lasts a long time, doesn’t tire, and, although it’s unisex, it’s probably the one that has brought me the most compliments.

  • Críticodeperfumes

Ugly! She’s right in other comments; it smells of grapefruit and rue, at times it gives off a dirty smell and then a clean, powder soap type scent. Contrary to the praise, I’ve received bad comments. I didn’t like the scent; if it is true, then it’s super unisex.

  • Críticodeperfumes

Ugly! As other reviewers mentioned, it smells like grapefruit and rue; sometimes it gives off a dirty vibe before turning into laundry detergent. Contrary to the praise, I’ve received many negative comments. I didn’t like the scent, although it is true that it’s super unisex.
