I ordered this from MyOrigines and it was a complete fiasco: either it’s a poor knock-off or it’s gone off, smelling of rot. They claimed it smelled of the woods, but there was nothing like it. I’m not sure if the bottle is at fault or, since the shop doesn’t take responsibility, whether I can return it to try another. A total disappointment.
Pure earthiness of patchouli roots and herbs. Constant warmth with flashes of dark, deep woody and herbal notes. You’ll need to love earthy scents like Cabochard or Magie Noire to enjoy this patchouli, as it is exaggerated and penetrating. Its beauty lies in creating a very interesting, magical, mysterious, and alluring atmosphere. Patchouli has something that draws you in through countless natural, woodland nuances where you feel like exploring. Use sparingly, as its intensity can be overwhelming. Suitable for layering with other perfumes to add a dark, woody depth.
