What a fantastic fragrance… I was absolutely blown away when I put this on. It’s an ode to amber, patchouli, sandalwood and labdanum, super vanilla and creamy. It embraces you and doesn’t fade for more than 10 hours. You wake up and it smells very strong. Earthy, it smells of earth wet by the morning dew and woods. Simply sensational if you like earthy patchouli with a sweet, chocolatey touch. Reminiscence is a French house not 100% dedicated to perfumes, but they do things very well, at least this one. Are there better patchouli scents? Surely, but as rounded as this? I don’t think so. It has an outstanding performance.
What a magnificent fragrance… I went absolutely wild when I first sprayed it. It’s an ode to amber, patchouli, sandalwood and labdanum, with a distinct vanilla touch. Super creamy and warm, it embraces you and lasts a minimum of 10 hours. You wake up and it’s still clearly noticeable. It smells of earth wet by the morning dew, of woods. Simply sensational if you enjoy earthy patchouli with a sweet, chocolatey hint. Reminiscence is a French house not 100% dedicated to perfumes, but they do things very well (at least this one). Are there better patchouli scents? Surely, but as rounded as this? I don’t think so. It has an exceptional performance.
A unisex patchouli bomb from Reminiscence. Although the house changes names and bottles, Inoubliable Elixir Patchouli, Patchouli Elixir and this Le Patchouli Élixir are basically the same scent: a patchouli/amber combo very similar to Montale’s Patchouli Leaves, which smells almost identical. It’s linear, featuring a mentholated, earthy and warm patchouli thanks to the labdanum. Perhaps slightly more talc-like than Montale’s, but very similar. If you already own Patchouli Leaves or other amber patchoulis, this launch will be redundant. If you don’t have any and are looking for patchouli as the star, buy whichever is cheaper, as the scents are very similar. The fixations and trail are excellent and I see it as ideal for cold climates. A must-try for patchouli lovers.
