Vanille Reminiscence is the kind of vanilla that is pretty and simple, with a floral touch that gives you exactly what you’re looking for: vanilla (from Tahiti, very lovely). This sample gave me quite a headache; it was in a box confused with musk, but it’s definitely vanilla… oh dear, oh dear… I just love it. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with vanilla scents, and this Antarctic cold makes them even more appealing. It opens firmly yet softly, light, with citrus notes that last a mere breath before heliotrope and little almonds take over. The tonka bean speaks to the praline (which I usually don’t like), saying, ‘Come with me, but don’t open your mouth too wide as I’m already talking’ (perfect). All wrapped in a musk that doesn’t overdo it. A vanilla-floral-tonka blend with fresh sparkles: I adore it. Please, everyone who likes vanilla must try this one, no exceptions. I’ve already added it to my wishlist and it’s the first one. I like it because I know I won’t stop chasing it until I own it. EDIT: once it settles, it smells to me like burnt dark tonka :-(((
