Expect a study in contrast: luminous spices at the outset, dark woods mellowed by fruit through the middle, and a leather-and-amber base softened by musk.
Up top sit geranium, saffron and ginger. Geranium lends a green, faintly minty floral note, ginger provides a lively bite, while saffron remains dry, spiced and faintly leathery.
The heart places raspberry alongside oud wood and guaiac wood. Rather than turning gourmand, the raspberry offers a juicy brightness that sets off the smokiness of oud and the dry balsamic quality of guaiac.
Underneath, amber, leather and musk take over. Leather leads with a gentle animalic flavour, amber adds resinous warmth, and musk smooths the whole through to a comfortable finish on the skin.
