  • This is a poor substitute for the previous Yves Rocher product, and the worst part is that it costs twice as much. It’s not a long-lasting fragrance; it barely lasts until lunchtime. At first, it smells of lilacs, but afterwards it’s as if I’m wearing nothing at all. What a shame. It doesn’t smell of talcum powder at all.

  • They replaced my perfume with another lilac-scented one, the Pur Désir de Fleurs, but it smells completely different and doesn’t last even a minute. I really hope they restock the original! It was wonderful; people kept asking what I was wearing. I’ve visited several shops and the sales assistants confirm that many customers are looking for it. If a customer insists, I believe they should listen and put it back.

  • It’s a poorly executed attempt at an EDT version of Pur désir Lilas. It doesn’t last on the skin and doesn’t have the same aroma. Let’s hope they distribute the EDP again someday.

  • This perfume, or rather eau de toilette, is one of my mother’s favourites. The resinous notes are barely noticeable; the lilacs are soft and delicate, and with green notes, it’s refreshing, very suitable for all year and situations as it’s not intrusive or heavy. Personally, I like it on her, but it doesn’t last on me; it makes me melancholic (things of pH). I think it’s more suitable for women over 50 looking for softer, more timid fragrances.

I just received it, it was a gift (100ml) when I bought a bottle of Muguet for my mother. I had no idea what I was going to find; I’ve never smelled a lilac in my life. In reality, I expected it to smell something like a violet, given the mauve colour I saw in the photos, but nothing beyond that. As soon as I removed the cap, I admitted it wasn’t for me. It’s not that I don’t find the aroma pleasant, but I don’t find it youthful at all. I’ll state a paradox of massive proportions, but even though my boyfriend and I agreed it smells like authentic fresh natural flower (and he’d never smelled a lilac either), we don’t find it fresh in any way. I mean, it smells like a living flower, but dense, with a heaviness that feels languid. It seems to clog my airways. I find it heavy for someone under 60 or 65 years old (I’ll put the accent or I’ll explode, much to the dismay of the RAE and its nonsense). I must have smelled a similar scent on a woman in my childhood, because it feels tremendously familiar. The very moment I inhaled, the image of a mature, plump, smiling woman with pale, soft skin appeared in my mind, in a house with dazzling light and windows everywhere, surrounded by a garden. Light furniture, white wicker baskets, hanging plants, and immaculate white walls. Cleanliness, serenity, calm, and a Persian cat yawning on a floral cushion on an Emmanuelle sofa. A soft embrace from that woman in that house; that is how Lilas Mauve smells to me.

  • Ives Rocher’s Lilas Mauve perfume: Good afternoon. Lilac is my favourite flower, more precisely the purple variety, pardon the redundancy, since this flower gave its name to the colour. There are also white and mauve ones. The flowers grow in clusters and look beautiful in a clear glass vase, where you can also see their stems and leaves. Lilacs beautify and fill any room with their scent. They are native to Persia and Turkey. At my school, lilac bushes grew abundantly, and no one missed the few flowers I stole with excitement and furtively during May. Every time I return to my homeland in spring, the sight of blooming lilacs fills me with joy. Thus, I know the scent of lilacs very well and can assure you that the LILAS MAUVE perfume smells exactly like lilacs, no more, no less. See that the creator of this fragrance is the great Annick Menardo. It’s true that its longevity is weak (not scarce) and its trail is moderate, but they are far more than sufficient. We can always apply more when necessary. For those who like lilacs, try using this fragrance during spring days and nights. I usually spray it ‘into the air’ to scent my home. It saddens me that there are hardly any perfumes where lilac stands out. Regards.

Lovely fresh, soft lilac notes here, complete with their little leaves. Although the scent is synthetic, it’s executed brilliantly. It’s one of my favourite fragrances for bedtime; it’s so relaxing. What a shame it only lasts a breath.

How lovely, fresh and soft lilacs I smell here, complete with their leaves. Although the note is synthetic, it is executed superbly. It is one of my favourite fragrances for sleeping; it relaxes me immensely. What a pity its scent lasts only a breath.
