About Mangoud
Mangoud: An Oriental Tropical from The Lab
The Lab presents Mangoud, a unisex perfume launching in 2025. Created by perfumer Mario Galindo, it sits within the oriental olfactory family and surprises with an unconventional profile.
The composition revolves around mango and a trio of oud woods: Indian oud, Cambodian oud and oud wood. The outcome is a blend of sweet, tropical and smoky.
Oud is the core of Mangoud. Indian oud wood offers warmth and depth, while Cambodian oud brings resins and a hint of animalic. The oud wood strengthens the woody, enduring base.
Mango acts as the counterbalance. Its fruity sweetness illuminates the whole and adds a tropical air that is rarely encountered in an oriental fragrance. This pairing produces a fascinating contrast between the exotic and the classic.
The accords include sweet, warm spicy, fresh spicy, terpenic and animalic notes. As a result, Mangoud evolves on the skin for hours, revealing different aspects over time.
This perfume has personality, aimed at those who want a signature scent. Its unisex character makes it adapteble, although its potency makes it best for evening wear or for fans of powerful fragrances.
Perfect for oud lovers and those who like statement scents. Also for anyone seeking a unisex with a tropical yet profound side. Not for fans of understated perfumes.
Mangoud is one of The Lab's most interesting releases in 2025. The combination of mango and oud, signed by Mario Galindo, gives a coherent perfume with impressive sillage and an unexpected development. A creation to remember.

I was dying to get to know this house, and I got to try it at Mxscent 2025. It was there that I fell in love with MangOud. I tried it on a blotter, I tried it on skin, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It has mango, yes, but like a brown mango, not citrusy, not sparkling, but dark, almost caramelised (only in terms of colour). The oud is indeed present, strong, animalic enough to appeal to those who love oud, and controlled enough for those who don’t like it as much. It seems to be very successful in Arabian Gulf countries, and perhaps that can give an idea of the quality of the composition. Very good longevity and medium versatility; it’s more casual than elegant, in my opinion. For me, this one and Neroli Negro are the best of the brand.
