In my opinion, it bears no resemblance to Idole Intense; it’s a delicious fragrance that has captivated me, although I’m not usually a fan of roses, but it’s so lovely… It opens fresh and luminous, as if it had citrus, with a modern pink rose and very woody. It’s not a red rose, nor powdery, nor makeup-like; it’s more like the rose in Rose Gourmand but without that cloying sweetness. It has a natural floral sweetness and with body heat it becomes increasingly musky, keeping the woody base with a dry, almost masculine touch that gives it personality. The performance is superior to Zara’s regular lines and similar to Chapter 2. The trail lasts about two hours at medium distance, another two at close range and another two right on the skin, but you keep smelling it, and if they get close enough, they’ll feel it. On clothes it lasts until you wash them, which is more than acceptable; many designer fragrances would kill for that. Recommended: totally and without a doubt, provided you don’t buy it thinking it’s a dupe of Idole.

In my opinion, it bears no resemblance to Idole Intense at all; it is a delightful fragrance that has captivated me, even though I’m not usually a fan of roses, it is simply so lovely. It opens fresh and luminous, almost citrusy, with a modern pink rose that is very woody. It is not a red rose, nor powdery or makeup-like; it is more akin to the rose in Rose Gourmand but without that cloying sweetness. It has a natural floral sweetness and, as it warms on the skin, it becomes increasingly musky while maintaining the dry, almost masculine woody base that gives it personality. The performance is superior to Zara’s regular lines and comparable to Chapter 2. The trail lasts about two hours at medium distance, another two at close range, and another two right on the skin, yet you can still smell it if they approach closely enough. It lasts on clothes until washed, which is more than acceptable; many designer fragrances would kill for that. Recommended: absolutely, without a doubt, provided you do not buy it thinking it is a dupe of Idole.

  • Memoire Intense is a mossy, green, damp and dark rose. Compared to Lancome’s Idole, this one has a strong pear note at the start, whereas Memoire is just the rose, very green, with a hint of vanilla, lacking that distinct fruitiness of Idole. Here, the moss is the star. It conjures an image of a rose in a forest at night. It’s the rebellious sister of the pink Idole. Even the liquid has a greenish tint. It’s very earthy and woody, yet not dirty. It smells of excellent musk. It’s a fragrance with huge character that projects like crazy. It lasts about 6 or 7 hours on skin and much longer on clothes. It’s incredibly versatile, suitable for day, night and any season. Between this and Idole, despite the differences, I would totally recommend this one. It’s bolder, lasts longer, projects more and costs a fraction of Lancome’s price. It’s almost insulting that Zara can create something so good that compares favourably with a designer scent that can’t even reach its heels. This is one of my sister’s favourites, who absolutely hates Idole. They are different enough to have a preference. I recommend it highly.

  • Memoire Intense is a mossy, green, wet, and dark rose. Compared to Lancôme’s Idole, I see this one has a strong pear note at the start, whereas Memoire only has the rose, very green, and a touch of vanilla, lacking that distinct fruitiness of Idole. Here, the moss is the protagonist. The image it gives me is a rose in a forest at night. It is the rebellious sister of the pink Idole. Even the liquid has a greenish tint. It is very earthy and woody, but not dirty. It smells of well-blended musk. It is a fragrance with a lot of character that projects wildly. It lasts about six or seven hours on skin and much longer on clothes. It is incredibly versatile, suitable for day, night, and any season. Between this and Idole, despite the differences, I would recommend this one entirely. It is bolder, lasts longer, projects more, and costs a fraction of the Lancôme price. It is almost an insult that Zara could create something so good that it is compared to a designer fragrance that doesn’t even come close to its heels. This is one of my favourite scents; my sister, who dislikes Idole completely, loves this. They are different enough to have a preference. I recommend it highly.

  • I bought it as a good wardrobe staple at a fair price if you enjoy clean-scented perfumes. At first, it smells of rose and pear, and as it dries down, it becomes very musky roses with a hint of vanilla and a powdery aspect. Perhaps it has aldehydes, as it smells like freshly washed clothes dried in the sun. It reminds me of fabric softener or detergent for moments. Although I didn’t like that sheet-like scent at first, it eventually hooked me. However, if you don’t like perfumes that evoke freshly changed sheets, abstain (be careful if you dislike extra-clean scents like Byredo’s Blanche). It has a moderate trail and lasts about six hours on my skin. Although it resembles Idole, to my nose, they are not clones. Memoire Intense is more musky, sweeter, less fruity (only at the beginning), and less sparkling, fresh, and natural. It also feels less complex and elegant. Perhaps they resemble each other more as Idole develops in its dry-down, since Memoire is more linear, but they are never identical. Honestly, I prefer the Zara one. I do not own Idole Intense. It is perfect for everyday wear, informal occasions, and for perpetuating that freshly showered scent. Especially good for spring mornings. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value for money 7.5/10, Versatility 7.5/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it again? Perhaps.

  • I sniffed Idole just once and that was enough; pear and I simply don’t get along. Conversely, Memoire Intense was love at first sight. I don’t have a particularly refined nose to identify specific notes; I just know if I like it or not, and I feel roses, wood, something green and fresh in this one. I fell in love. My skin is my worst enemy with perfumes, but miraculously, this one lasts on me, and on clothes, there’s no need to say more. I see it for warm and mild days, more for daytime than evening, as it doesn’t project too much at night, yet it truly fascinated me. This and Golden Decade are my go-to scents for staying fragrant all day without spending a fortune. It’s always advisable to test on skin and wait at least two hours; I bought this blind and am very happy with both.

  • I have both the regular Idole and the Intense version. At first, they seemed identical, but later on, it gave me a severe headache. I bought it hoping it was a dupe, but I feel it smells much more powdery 🙁

I own both the regular and Intense versions of Idole; initially, they smelled identical, but later it gave me a headache. I bought it thinking it was a dupe, but it smells much more like talcum powder 🙁

I own Lancôme’s Idole and have even mixed it with other scents. It’s a fresh, juicy rose with fruity notes and a slightly woody dry-down. For me, it’s better suited for daytime rather than evening. The trail is moderate, but if you reapply, you’re set. Call me crazy, but once it dries, it reminds me a bit of Moschino’s Toy 2 (the white teddy). Given the price and longevity, would I buy it again? Absolutely, why not?
