I’m surprised they don’t mention the aldehydes, because if my nose isn’t deceiving me, it definitely carries them; it took me a while to understand, as it smells very vintage and is almost identical to Chanel No 5, which isn’t my cup of tea. However, Miriam, the first perfume from Tauer based on the anthology ‘Portrait of a Woman’, with three girls and three scents across decades, recreates it all beautifully, even though I didn’t live through those times :). It’s not my favourite of the three, but it’s impressive and exquisite; besides reminding me of No 5 (which I dislike and find stronger than Miriam), it brings back memories of Bois des Îles, which I adore. As I said, it took me a while to get on board, but it’s gorgeous. It’s a powdery, delicate, floral and feminine scent. By the way, Fragrance Women, these three fragrances are an olfactory experience you can’t miss.
