Morning Cedar: A Bright Woodland Start, Softly Spiced
Karusll's Morning Cedar, introduced in 2026, is an Aromatic Fougère designed for women and men. It pictures an early walk among trees, fresh rather than brooding.
The composition moves from an aromatic, lifted opening towards a rounded, sweet and woody drydown. Clarity first, cosiness after.
At the top are apple, cardamom and lavender. The apple offers crisp juiciness, lavender preserves a classic fougère neatness, and cardamom lends a lightly peppery, cool spice.
The middle brings together Ceylon cinnamon, pineapple, cedar and patchouli. Cinnamon provides warmth, pineapple a bright sugared fruit note, while cedar with patchouli forms a dry, refined woody backbone.
Underneath lie vanilla, amber, tonka bean, sandalwood and chestnut. Vanilla, amber and tonka give an ambery, balsamic softness, made creamy by sandalwood and mellowed further by chestnut.
Taken together, it feels warm spicy, woody and vanilla-led, with fruity, aromatic, powdery and sweet facets and a distinct patchouli accent. It starts airy and finishes enveloping.
It will suit those who favour mixed fougeres with orchard fruit, mild spice and smooth woods, easy to wear through autumn and winter.
Morning Cedar closes neatly: a fresh aromatic lift, a spiced and fruity centre, then a lingering base of vanilla, amber and soft woods.
