Total disappointment. After failing to grab Sir Winston, I tried Moss Cologne. As a moor moss addict, I expected something dry and super masculine, but it turned out just like Winston. Floral base and very weak performance. I’d still like to keep buying from the brand, but with these two flaws, I’m thinking twice. Looking for the definitive moor moss? Go for Etruscan Water.
To me, it’s the ‘lite’ version of Bortnikoff’s Musk Khabib. It smells very similar, so it’s basically a bomb of musk and bergamot with nuances. It has good projection and trail; it doesn’t last as long as Khabib but quite well. Being cheaper, if you apply more, you solve the performance issue and take it further in terms of power and longevity. Being less intense, it’s easier to wear, suitable for more tastes and occasions. It’s elegant with an attractive sensual touch, without that classic animal or leather note. It leans fresher. Sometimes it’s hard to pick up on the first sniff and those outside the niche might find it odd, but afterwards it’s not easy to stop smelling it and end up wanting more.
